Sauces to accompany meatballs in Belgium vary regionally; the pears just supply a light sweetness to a savory brown sauce - delicious and not pear-forward at all. The meatballs were juicy and pretty tender. Solid frites and a little homage to a salad rounded out the meal. Beer selection is ample/normal for a Belgian cafe. The staff was really excellent, but be warned they don't have an English menu and most of the staff did not speak English. They really did great though with everyone trying their best to communicate.
