I decided on a classic three scoop trip and while the pic might deceive you into think ya choc-vanilla-strawberry it's actually Nutella-white choc-lavender! The croustillant baguette was excellent and it was nice and crunchy and chewy. I love baguette with a crust and the ones make here is very good. The chocolate and coffee eclair was excellent as was the Mille feuille with a vanilla custard. This place is open on Sundays unlike many other places in the village. The line up was constant and the service very friendly and nice. A great place for your baked goods in town. It's a short distance from the city centre.

I loved how the cream wasn't too sweet and had a nice nutty flavor. We also got the pan au chocolat and that was also super duper. (Though that rarely fails if the croissant part is made well). Last, we got this apple pie tart that they recommended and it was really refreshing, the crust was made wonderfully, dense and not too crumbly. Loved all 3 things we got!

We were in Rome, Italy last year on the hunt for the best gelato we could find. We found it in…read moreNice! On a sweltering hot August afternoon a few weeks ago, our first Mom & son overseas trip, we'd eagerly hunted for a pleasing looking spot for ice cream in the old town, Vieux Nice. I'd followed some yelp reviews to a different spot beginning with an F and had some extremely below average gelato. I figured maybe this was the best we could hope for in town. I was a bit disappointed but my son was happy enough just to get some ice cream at all, so we went on with our day. After a blisteringly hot climb in the mid afternoon sun to the highest overlook at the chateau park followed by a gorgeous dip in the sea, we were wending our way back through the old town once more towards the tram and back to where we were staying. Crossing the pretty square containing the Palais de Justice, my son was drawn to Qui, Gelato! and pleaded to go in. I'd mentally moved well past ice cream, it was now early evening, but it only took a moment to let go of the boring "we've already had one!" mindset and remember we're on vacation, he'll only be a kid this happy for ice cream a short while longer, and hey, life's for living. SO glad I did, because this compared to the stuff we had earlier was like night & day. Holy gelato - I'll be dreaming about this ice cream for a long while... we shared a two scoop cone: dark chocolate (son) and pistachio (me). They actually paired beautifully. Chocolate had chunks of dark chocolate inside and somehow felt so rich despite being gelato. Amazingly rich flavor without being too sweet. I'm a sucker for pistachio and this was honestly one of, if not the best I've eaten (& I've eaten a lot!). Again nothing like the overly sugary stuff we have in the US. Just heavenly. Tried to wrangle another visit to old town next day just to go back to Qui gelato on our way to the airport, but ran out of time. So please go and enjoy a scoop or two for me!

This is actually a branch of a patisserie chain with a number of shops in Antibes. Due to buying a number of pastries that day, I waited until the next morning to enjoy it. I liked it, but regretted not eating it in the same day. I did not have access to an oven either to reheat it, which would have improved it. The other regret is that there are so many good boulangerie and patisserie shops to choose from in France. This shop had a lot more delectable desserts to choose from inside. If you like sweet treats, it is worth checking out this patisserie.
