We had the most wonderful meal at Le Pois Gourmand.
First off, the food was delicious. Three of us got the opportunities to try out 3 different starters, 3 main entrees and 3 desserts. The food ranged from good to exceptional. Starters: The parsnip soup was refreshing and well-balanced. The poached egg with the mushroom sauce was just amazing. We had four different version of this poached egg dish at various restaurants and this was the best. Main entrees: The tender roasted pork, the fresh fish, and the best main entree was the beautifully fragrant beef that was perfectly cooked and accompanied by the delicious butter sauce. Desserts: I am not a fan of lemon tart but the lemon tart was excellently done here. My family liked the poached pear the most.
The presentation was attractive, elegant but unpretentious.
The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming.
The 3-course lunch menu ranged from 25Eu to 30Eu, which is very affordable. For the quality, it is a steal. If I live nearby Le Pois Gourmand, I would go there once a week.
