I highly recommend the saffron risotto -- not your average risotto at all. Different layers with pureed vegetables at the bottom. The service was excellent and friendly, especially given that it's a mostly local crowd and my Italian is terrible. Our server was happy to make wine recommendations (by the glass) and let us taste the wine first so we could get a different one if we didn't like it. We skipped dessert but he brought us some free limoncello at the end -- a nice touch. They also bring out a free amuse bouche, in our case, some shrimp. Small bar by a canal…read more On my first night in Milan, we stopped by this small bar for late night drinks (probably around midnight). We were high on US time and were wide awake. I'm not much of a drinker, but my Basil Honey drink wasn't that bad (3.5/5 stars). No mini munchies were given to us, and perhaps it was because we didn't come at an earlier time. I think what gave this place a 4 opposed to 3 stars, is the free WIFI. You know I need to be wifi-ing because I'm not gonna pay for an international data plan. Overall, if you're interesting in late night drinks with free wifi by a small canal, this is your place.
