It was 4pm and I was hungry. No restaurants in Argentan are opened between 3pm and 7pm and I have not eaten all day. After I bought a croissant d'almonde, i wandered around the town center and was about to give up on being have to eat food with some substance when i chanced upon the dark, large, and empty fast food kebab place that was actually opened all day long. WHAT! I walked in and ordered a plate of kebab to go that came with fries and bulgur and salad (ginormous) for less than 10 EUR and ate to my happiness, which is about only half of the actual portion they gave me. The portion is large! If you are in dire need of food but it's not regular eating hours, just come here. The food here is good enough to satisfy (i have had better, but we are talking argentan here) and i'd rather eat here than at any of the brasseries in town. read more
