The owner grilled some shrimp & beef himself with a side of salad & potato. The shrimp was big & perfect & the meat tasted really good except some parts that was chewy but mostly good. The dinner is served in a beautiful little garden & they have really good wine from the area.the portions are not that big which is common in France I guess & one dish costs 18€.

As…read moresoon as we arrived we were struck by the warmth of her welcome and the attention to detail which continues to delight: the homemade jams at breakfast, the fresh fruit, the fridge of cold drinks made available on the terrace The building itself is a wonderful medieval town house, with a courtyard and roof terrace, all impeccably refurbished. Babette also organized a wine tasting on the terrace... a lovely way of relaxing before heading out for a meal and a nice way of meeting other guests. Throughout our stay we were made to feel completely at home and were genuinely sorry to leave. Merci beaucoup Babette!

But it is well worth the drive up there, especially if you are on a romantic date or looking for a great venue for your group dinner. The proprietor loves her cooking as can be attested from what she serves on her table. Her food is very hearty southern French but with good sauce and chutney wherever appropriate. I had the canard confit with chutney and also tried their chicken satay/skewer with cheese polenta. Good stuff. She mentioned on her website she uses seasonal local fresh produce and sources for organic as much as she can find them. Good selection of wine to choose from too. And best of all, super great value when you order set menu which basically is just ordering any two or three courses from their daily menu, at €19 for 2 course one when the main is already €15-18.
