They said tip should be *added* to the bill. Waitress screamed down our group's table and tried to force purchases on us, saying our kids had "demanded bottled water" when we had specified tap carafes would be fine. food was very bad. when we confronted her on asking for tip in france, for trying to charge us for things we hadn't ordered, she reached her arms across our bodies to pile dirty dishes in front of us. Terrible place. The mussels were the worst I ever had. I couldn't even finish them, they were over cooked (rubbery!) and tasted like they were boiled in salt water, there was no other flavor. The fries were fine. The waitress forgot to bring me a glass for my wine and I had to keep asking for one. At a table next to me, she forgot to order someone's food, and didn't come by the table until the rest of the family had finished eating. Then, when handing me my check, AND when giving me back my card, both times she said "thank you for the tip". Like seriously? First off, I don't have to tip in France, and secondly, why would I want to tip her after that experience? That was very tacky for her to demand that, and made the experience worse. read more

I should have believed our concierge when she said to avoid eating at restaurants in this area! The view was nice but the service was bad. First off our waitress seemed to be in a bad mood already. Should have left at that point but the mussels were on special and we couldn't pass the price. Big mistake. The waitress informed us that she will clean our table but she never did , I had to clean our cups cause it was very windy that day and particles had fallen on our cups, we asked for condiments but she never brought it and had to asked another person for them, we didn't have any utensils and had to ask another person to bring them, tried paying with card and she stated they don't accept cards and only cash but never did give me receipt. Don't come here. Did I make myself clear? DON'T COME HERE! The service and food will leave you utterly disappointed. We saw two parties leave in disgust with this establishment. They treat customers like cattle. By that I mean there is no personal touch. I saw the staff deliver wrong orders to clients. They take away condiment bottles from one table to give to another table. What, they can't have more than one bottle of each condiment? Again, don't come here unless you truly desire an undesirable and unpleasant dining experience. read more

Really bad service. Worst restaurant I've been to in Europe. Food took unbelievably long to arrive. Then the waiter forgot to bring me a knife, so I asked for one and it took forever, so I had to get one myself.. Outrageous! read more

We had very good crepes here; absolutely no complaints. One of my good friends was obsessed with their fromage blanc and swore it was far superior to any she ever had elsewhwere. I have to say that I tried it, and to me it tasted like fromage blanc I've had anywhere, but still, no complaints. The Place d'Horloge can be packed, especially during Theater Season, but it makes for prime people watching, and has a generally nice ambience. Also, once we were eating here and a fellow patron bought my friend and I bouquets of flowers because of our radiant smiles. Teehee! read more

This was the only place open in the afternoon, still serving lunch. Staff was friendly enough but the food... I'm not really sure what it was supposed to be but I don't think it was right. Looked like canned beans with hot dog thrown in and microwaved. My wife got sick. :( read more

Terrible restaurant. We had a 3course menu. As a main course I had chicken. I already noticed some plates going back to the kitchen, so I checked my plate before eating. And yes, the chicken was raw on the inside. At the time I was pregnant, so very dangerous food for my unborn child. The waitress didn't care. They never said I'm sorry. I got a new plate (with chicken well done and therefore very dry, but as it was not dangerous, I ate it...) They thanked us by giving us a bill with an extra drink on it we did not have of ordered. And if you order drinks... Only the small are priced on the menu. But the waitress only asks if you want regular of big. So you get more beer or cola and of course for a bigger price... read more
