Wow..so many things were upsetting about this place. I'll just make a list:
1. Parking was a nightmare. There is a small lot behind the building that is PACKED. There was one spot left when we arrived that was so tight I had to crawl out of the back of the car to get out.
2. The decor was so completely tacky and outdated. Like, BAD. Who cares about the decor, right? Well, when it's that bad you realize that you actually care at least a little bit.
3. An ocean-view room means that you are going to have their giant neon sign right outside of your window. They have blinds that block all the light, but you can't actually gaze out at the moon or ocean without that light hindering everything. Even during the day, it's just an eye sore. Based on photos I thought we were getting an awesome ocean view...not the case.
Aside from that...no one spoke a lick of English. And I know...we're in France. But my husband spoke enough French to get through most places (even the restaurant we went to in the same town as this hotel), but the staff here wouldn't really try to communicate with him. It was a bit of a struggle when we tried to check in, despite already having a reservation that was paid in full.
I guess this is a place to go if you are just looking to stay in a laid-back beach town without any frills. read more
