And unlike many bakeries in France, there is plenty of room to sit. After you visit the château of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and wander in the nice shopping streets, this is the best you want to stop for lunch or coffee.

The meal was very healthy, it came with quinoa salad and carrot slaw. Light, but a good little bit of protein for the vegetarian option. The Golden milk was very nice, the turmeric and ginger balanced out nicely, so it wasn't overwhelming. It helped me feel a little better and is a great way to warm up. They have a combo meal deal- drink, lunch plate, and dessert, but Golden milk isn't included with this option. My friend split her pistachio cake with me and it was delicious! I love pistachio anything- so it was a nice treat. It's a small and cozy little cafe and a nice place to take a break after touring the Palace.

But on that particular day, it also had marinated raw steak. I was afraid to try it but she insisted so I did, and you know what?? I really liked it! It turns out she owns a gourmet restaurant, Cocottes et Bouchons, where she serves traditional French cuisine typical of Lyonnaise cuisine. Go there for dinner for it is a treat you should not miss.
