FOOD: 4.5. I had one of the 3 set menus for dinner, the 32 Euro (which was top end). Outstanding Norman fare.
- House Foie Gras. Served with a bit of gourmet salt and small salad. Yummy.
- Leg of lamb seasoned with Rosemary. Perfect. Practically fell off the bone. Furthermore, it was served with plenty of vegetables that were also excellent: zucchini, potato, turnip, carrot, broccoli.
- crème brulee. Wow--best I ever had. Warm with a buttery, vanilla taste.
- cheese plate. 3 Norman cheeses, which are soft. Though I prefer hard cheeses I decided to have the cheese plate. I enjoyed it, and a soft-cheese gourmet would have loved it.
SERVICE: 5.0. Wonderful, though I speak little French.
AMBIENCE: 4.5. It was early March so quite cold and windy outside. The restaurant was toasty warm throughout, with a fire going in the fireplace. Cozy, traditional wooden interior.
