Simple but executed well with soul. Salmon or duck confit. More options for vegetarians. You can either have it as a sandwich or a platter. Very reasonable. We saw a little sign by the Hôtel Mignon advertising Café Mignon. There are a few tables inside, but the place to go on a warm summer morning is around the corner, where there are three little tables in the shaded alley. There were a mother and daughter (I'm guessing) working there. The daughter speaks amazingly good English, and she was the main person we worked with. They offer a complete brunch for €12. This includes salad (lettuce and tomato) with ham and cheese, an egg, a bowl of fruit (apricots were in season), homemade applesauce or yogurt (your choice), pastries, bread and jam. Oh, and also fruit juice and a hot drink (coffee, tea, chocolate). For twelve euros! This was amazing. All of the food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect - quiet and cool and out of the way. The people were so friendly, and from the way she talked I think the daughter made the applesauce and yogurt herself and was pleased to see us enjoying them so much. We have one more day coming up in Avignon, and I am very tempted to return to Café Mignon. What a lovely place! It lives up to its name.

I have found the service kind, however, one specific time I was told to sit anywhere when I was there for brunch with a group of three. There was no signage on the table that it was reserved and the server didn't seem particularly happy we hadn't known this. Other than this time, the service has always been kind and I always enjoy the food.

They ask you not to work there at certain hours (very fair) but it is set up for you to do so!
