One of the best meals we have had anywhere (and that includes a large part of the world as we travel a lot!). We were there on a Tuesday evening (we had rented a house on the Bothnia Sea not far from Skutskar) and there was very little activity. The waiter brought the menu over and when he discovered we were Americans, he sat down at the table and with limited English went over the menu with us (which was in Swedish-no English). I decided to go with the pork steaks which came surrounded by a ring of masked potatoes with a bernaise sauce and a mixture of onions, carrots, and zuchini underneath. Really, really excellent and the portion was big enough to leave even Americans satisfied!! My wife had the seafood mixture whcih was jumbo shrimp, salmon steak and another fish, also excellent. My brother in law had the lamb chops and while I do not eat lamb, he thought it was excellent as well and he said he had never gotten 6 chops on a plate before! I had a ligonberry cheesecake (which seems to be the national berry in Sweden which I have now come to love!!). All the dishes were presented well as you can see from the photos. Certainly would reccommend this place even if you had no plans to stop in Skutskar!! Excellent!!

Big and nice O'Learys in central Gävle. Plenty of well placed screens, they have lots of games…read moregoing on at the same time and even in crowded Friday evenings like this one I've never had problem getting to view what I want even when I'm the only one (although you won't get sound to your game then). Same food as every other O'Learys (American: wings, burgers, steaks, fajitas, and so on) but better exdeuted than most of the ones in Stockholm. Friendly service. Good for kids with special kids menu. Lots of families with small kids had dinner here early Friday evening.
