The city is in a financial downhill, lots of issues in the streets and parks. If you suggest or speak up on issues that will help (professionally of course) they shut you down. If you're part time, honoring the required hours they still treat you like CRAP. It's way too old school of a culture & mindset which is why the city is where it's at. Tony Gallegos is one main prime example from parks maintenance. Too old to lead or TO adapt to multiple environments and changes. He is closed to change and changing times/dynamics. He doesn't care about your plans outside of work and he wants your whole life around a measly 19 hours a week part time job. He has a BAD attitude and is so unprofessional. If you suggest meetings, rather than mitigate an easy fix problem, they just get rid of you. They even fired a coworker with no just cause. No warnings or coaching. It's mostly a money deal since he was due for a cola raise and annual raise. There was no performance based issues. We were there for two years. Serving our community proudly since we live in the area.

The community center is only open during the week but has been known to open up on weekends. Large space for extra activities. They even have a school! The school is certified for actual credits to graduate. This place is a great community resource center and needs more attention! They are a part of Community Action Partnership of Orange County! All of the members of the lodge are friendly and welcoming. I showed up on the first Tuesday of the month to meet and greet the masons that go here. After several months of going to different events I petitioned to join, and was welcomed immediately. Very friendly group of folks. One of the best decisions I've ever made was joining this lodge.

Orange has some amazing hidden gems as far as food goes. The only downside is the traffic. It can get really congested in the area. Trying to get around with the Angels Stadium right there, can be a nightmare.

It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood next to a school. The center features outdoor areas, indoor event spaces and meeting rooms. The center hosts a food and diaper distribution program a couple times a month for the community in partnership with local non-profits like Second Harvest food bank and Community Action Partnership. There are also youth and senior programs offered here. What makes the Delhi Center 5 stars for me now is the addition of the new City of Santa Ana Library they opened on site! I stopped in last month while I was there for a work event to get a Santa Ana library card. Any California resident can get a card.
