A strange place in a MALL a good 5 min past montparnasse The hairdryer that I came ALL the way down here for was sold out ( there where supposedly 5 a few days ago apparently alot of traffic here and hairdryers a hot item???!) and the one I ended up buying ( because it was meant to be the equivalent) had no display model. I can now say from first hand experience that each model should have demo. Buying without seeing the product was a mistake ( mine ) but I imagined the salesgirl would pick a product with the same features ( no heat setting ? ) I must say despite the rather uninformed suggestion of my salesgirl she and everyone in the store were very friendly. They even asked if I wanted to buy a brush so i could do a "blow-dry" Inefficent, but not rude, a nice change from the store on bd st Germain were they are both. I'm sure they will be just as friendly and clueless when I exchange it. Ps i am anti-mall, but i did stop for a coffee at elephanto- and they had Italian coffee - segfredo - pas mal pour un mall ;)

Surely it can't be hard for them to phone up another store and confirm that indeed the printer I was looking for was in stock.

They also sell tickets and have photography services. My favorite departments are music and books which seem to be difficult to find in a store today. They have a large music department that includes every genre from around the world. They have both CDs and vinyl. FNAC also has a large assortment of books in many categories. A broken computer cord and dead camera battery brought me in this time....very helpful staff. I'd avoid buying any brand name MAC stuff here (tres cher) but found a good workaround and got great advice from staff who were very welcoming and seem to take pride in what they do. Wish Best Buy was like FNAC.
