Recommended by the LP guidebook so this is the first restaurant we tried in Innsbruck. Good thing…read moreas it doesn't seem to be open on Saturdays. It's on a narrow side street with a few tables outside. Inside the dining room has well spaced tables, and is artistically decorated, stylish and interesting. We both had the day's special which was sea bass on risotto. Perfectly cooked fish, well presented, the skin so crispy ate it all even though I usually don't like to eat fish skin. A bit pricy (entree at 32 euros) compared to some of the other places but it feels quite upscale.

I loved the food here and the service was also excellent. They have a 5 or 6 course degustation menu for both vegetarian and non vegetarians. They also have an a la carte menu with modern Austrian dishes as well as a few traditional Austrian dishes like schnitzel and so on. The a la carte menu also has quite a few choices for vegetarians. They will allow you to also select a dish or two from the degustation menu and let you order it as starter or main. The wine list is extensive and they have a good selection of Austrian and International wines. The waitress we had was very helpful and spoke good English. She also modified the menu slightly to fit a couple of people's requirement. We started with a smoked saibling with lentil and plums as well as a venison carpaccio to share. Both dishes were exquisite, subtle and packed with clean flavors. I absolutely loved my starters. For main I choose the beef cheeks which came on a bed of polenta and veggies. The beef cheeks were cooked to perfection and I loved it too. For dessert we shared a chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and a semolina schmarrn. The chocolate mousse was disappointing and the rest was great. The wine we had was amazing and the coffee was also quite ok. This place is more expensive and the wines are priced on the more expensive side but, not over the top. I would happily pay to eat here again. The flavors are amazing and the ambience and service is excellent. I look forward to my next visit. All four of us enjoyed our meals immensely and would come back here again anytime. A great restaurant in Innsbruck :-))

The potato salad was the highlight... pretty damn good. The place was so smoky that it was bad in the non - smoking area. It didn't help that the only waitress working that night had to run through the glass divide constantly. She was also either overworked or just disliked us... either way, the service was efficient with an edge of mean. Also, the beer selection left much to the imagination (kaiser in 4 sizes and then 2 flavors of bottled beer). The total bill was 17 euro for a sizable meal for two, including a beer. Id have personally rather spent a little more else where. Visited January 2017

It is a local establishment that gives you a family-owned feeling that you may expect from a small-scale hotspot from the 70's and 80's. Charming in the sense that it never seems to make you feel marketed towards as a tourist, but slightly to the contrary as regulars stop their conversations as you walk in through a cloud of tobacco smoke to order a drink or request a table. The smaller non-smoking section is located in the rear while the few outdoor tables seem to allow for better ventilation. Rumors of massive serving sizes convinced us to order the smaller goulash plate with bread and the award winning best value choice pork with dumpling, gravy, and small side salad. What was served to us looked simple, but tempting. Exceptional taste and quantity for a fit couple in their mid-30's who are usually fairly critical of what they are served. Excellent value at €13.20 after tax (and €3.20 additional for a large dark brew) made us quite pleased with our experience apart from having to choose a few annoying flies outside over a denser smoke filled interrior. Recommended mostly for the value and quality of the food along with the authentic feeling, less so for the person who has issues with tobacco smoke. Waitress speaks English.
