Tiny shop filled with leather boots and shoes. Got a pair of shoes while I was here and really…read moreenjoy them. The leather is relatively thick and stiff, so they do take some time to break in (not the most comfortable straight-out-of-the-box). However, once broken in, they wear really well and I can easily wipe and polish them back to a good shine. I think they have a reasonable selection of styles, from minimal/modern black ankle boots to more decorated brogues in fancy leather colours like teal and purple. I did get service in English when I visited, which was extra helpful.

Just bought a pair of shoes here. Nice shoes, disappointing service.read more

C'mon, man. All…read morethe times I've wedged in my support for the club when posting a review in the states - whether it was necessary or not?! And now... to be in Rome. (The real one... sorry Rome, New York and Rome, Florida.) At 'the' official AS Roma Store, just feet from the awe-inspiring 'Column of Marcus Aurelius' no less. C'mon, man. Everything you can imagine (t-shirts, shorts, hats) to plenty you probably wouldn't have (lamps, paperweights, watches) branded with "AS ROMA" can be found here. We visited this shop twice, the last time was just hours before their Derby Match (Lazio lost, of course!) and this place was hopping. Countless people on both floors buying up everything that wasn't nailed down. (And later, while strolling the "città" it was awash in new Roma gear and those sleek 'AS ROMA' bags people were carrying around.) And they also have a cool little "stadium ticket booth" to get tickets to matches on the second floor, too. C'mon, man.

I mean it's okay to look in the mirror and admire your melon biceps, your washboard abs, and your cleft chin. It's those little things that makes us happy, right? Just make sure you don't kiss the mirror, Cristiano, lol. After walking around old Roma I decide to go al dente and sip a glass of Italia's finest! Cin Cin! I finish off with Tiramisu and café smiling knowing I got to see another one of my Birthdays. It's said that one can have an old soul and yet a young spirit! I certainly agree with that... I decide to walk off my al dente and find something for birthday self. To be honest I'm not the superficial type. Lately, I've come to appreciate the minimalist lifestyle, and ten-fold with the worldwide pandemic. Yet, there's nothing wrong with feeling your best self too. As I walk old Roma.. I pass-by all the bling designer shops. Meh. I then remember how popular Fútbol is in the world, sans America. Americans are more into Football which scores more points, but lacks the historic pedigree and international following like Fútbol has... Pelé of Brasilia; David Beckham of England; Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal; just to name a few. The international women are just as famous in most parts of our world! Fútbol it is! AS ROMA is the professional Fútbol league for Rome, Italy. And tho Rome is the capital of Italy, AS ROMA ranks only 5th for popularity amongst Italians, behind Juventus, Internazionale, Milan, Napoli. And if you're wondering Ronaldo now plays for Juventus. Yup, he's Portuguese! See how international Fútbol is? I walk in AS ROMA... I do feel superstar-ish as I am greeted "Ciao" and informed store would be closing soon. Oh my! I sprint the store, kicking no balls, and want something AS ROMA! I head straight to the sweatshirts as it's more practical for me versus those pre-adolescent jerseys. Within a couple minutes I find a hooded black sweatshirt w/the famed sea wolf! It's a sweatshirt I would use trekking across Europe! In the end, I recommend AS ROMA for all... you don't have to be a Fútbol fanatic or have Cristiano Ronaldo's game to enjoy the unique apparel and trinkets. Very friendly staff and prices are affordable! I love the vintage-inspired gear the most. When in Roma! Ti Amo... And remember to keep that sparkle in your eyes;)
