Came to check this place out as it was recommended by a friend. So sad how nasty the taco's I ordered were. The owner was sitting at the bar & seemed like a pretty nice guy. Although, when I walked by the kitchen on the way to the bathroom I overheard the kitchen mgr talking down to a couple of the kitchen helpers. Prime Rib Dip (PRD) OH MY GOODNESS amazing. I had read a while back that they had a new Chef. We used to live near by and kept laws in our back pocket for a now and then. We no longer live in the area and tonight were near by and dropped in. My hubby and split the PRD, were small eaters. This PRD was the perfect balance of meat, bread, cheese. I smeared some of their horse radish sauce and then dunked it in the dip. HEAVEN!!! Now if your one to focus on a mile high of no flavor meat, go somewhere else. This was defiantly a craft of combinations that made this AMAZING. I like Prime Rib but rarely order it because most focus on the size and forget about flavor. Their Prime Rib had a wonderful flavor. It's pretty obvious that the owners are micro managing while drinking and screaming at their employees. That is highly unprofessional and I honestly felt bad for them. I've been in the serving industry for 7 years and not once have I ever been disrespected like that. The owners need to learn how to appreciate their employees and recognize that when their employees are busy that they need to take the initiative and jump in and be by their side to uphold their business. Our server, Martha, was seriously the sweetest and she was scrambling around and still maintained her section and then some. We loved her and definitely will come back to see her again. Management/owners: get it together! Your employees are the face of your establishment, treat them with respect. Came in to Law's Restaurant for a drink. The location of the restaurant makes it hard to find but it is worth it. The bar area is rather nicely appointed and the pool tables looks nice. It was kind of early so the after work crowd hadn't arrived yet. Though filled with regulars, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting (this was my first time here). The drinks are ample (definitely on the strong side which is a plus) and the prices aren't too bad. Do yourself a favor and tip Lindy well! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to sample their Prime Rib on this visit so I will have to come back. As far as a bar goes though, I could definitely get used to this place. I promise to come back and a more detailed review of the establishment. One critique would be that I wish that the bar area was longer and seated more people but to extend the bar area around the corner would mean removing the pool tables. Tried Laws for the first time Friday night. Friendly waitress Jaclyn. I had the special salmon with a cream sauce and veggies with baked potato. Salmon was quite good, better than I expected. Potato was way undercooked. As were the vegetables. Not sure how one could mess up a baked potato. My wife had the prime rib it was overdone and as she choked on the first bite. I had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on her. That spoiled the night for sure--but this is not Laws fault by any means. The dirty martini was watered down, a bit disappointing. And there is no beer on tap--only bottled beer so meh. There is a band that was setting up in the dining room and a lively karaoke presence on the patio. I can say we enjoyed the fried pickles. We came here around 7ish on sunday 12/26/21 But this time i was PISSED... my boyfriend and I ordered 2 rib eyes and his was great mine not so much... but thats not im rating this a 1. The service was beyond shitty. the hostess who sat us was great cant remember her name but our server was dirty blonde and looked like she had a stick up her ass the whole time. she gave us our drinks, salads, and food then she never came back to our table once.. like they had karaoke so it was a little packed in the dining room but she had a table behind us and a table to the side of us and she never stopped to check in or see if we needed a refill or even if we needed the check. The hostess gave me a refill and we sat for 30 mins waiting to see if she would even stop at our table and nope my boyfriend and i were severely pissed and annoyed so i flagged down the hostess for the check, she got it right away and we had ready in a min she came right back after that. The server was nowhere to be found, i did she her at the bar socializing with customers so after it was all said and done we decided she didnt deserve a tip. once i signed everything she finally come to our table only because the check was there and said sorry it got really busy... im sorry you stopped at 2 to 3 tables near us you could of checked in and said ill be right with you im sorry, and we would understand but nothing once we got our food.. and for the Owner Michael... just sat back and was drinking and doing some fun karaoke.. i wont be coming here anymore sadly.. read more

We stopped here for lunch. It's kind of dark and dingy, no biggie. We sat at the bar area( table top), took a while to get any type of service. It seemed the reoccurring clientele got better service than anyone else here. My observation was people sitting at the bar top got waaay better service than us. We only got a chance to other drinks and appetizer and that's it. I understand short staff due to covid however if people showed up at the bar top they got serviced immediately versus people sitting on booths and table tops. When the waitress brought our dished I was blown away. I did not expect such gourmet looking food from a place like this, and such delicious tasting food! My boyfriend had the breakfast skillet with bacon, ham, and sausage toped with potatoes that had peppers and onion. Also was covered with an amazing tasting gravy! It wasn't too thick or thin, just right! I would recommend this place to ANYONE in the area, and look forward to going back to try dinner and lunch! This was my husband and I 1st time here at this restaurant and had horrible service! The waitress came didn't great us but just asked for our drinks. She bought back our drinks and never came back. We watched her take her apron off and walk outside after 10 minutes. We paid for our drinks and left. I called to speak with the manager Michael and they couldn't find him. Well, I have a friend that has lived in Riverside longer than I (35 years) and she said she had never been to Law's! So after over 8 months I finally kept my word to meet her here for lunch. I had not eaten here for over a year but at one point had heard good things. Then I read the reviews and I am scared to keep our plans. We met yesterday, almost when they opened so it was empty. They have a $9.99 spaghetti deal on Thursdays (which is not impressive at all) I could feed 20 people on ten dollars of "spagetti", on the grease board. lol After reading the menu a few times I decided there was nothing that was going to keep me loyal to my New Years resolution to eat healthier, so we both ordered the "Riverside Classic" one with fries, one with onion rings. I tried to see if I could get a salad instead of deep fried crap side, but of course they would only do that if I paid for a salad. lame! I also got a tea, she had water. The total of just two sandwiches was over $30 (also not keeping to my New Years resolution, to be money wise!) The sandwich I got had really soft sourdough bread that needed to be toasted more (while her's looked burnt on one side) and the Ortega chili was not grilled at all and came out of the sandwich in one bite. Overall it tasted fair, but not at all worth the price. The fries were white and under cooked. The onion rings were the star of the show, crispy and with such good flavor they didn't need any sauces. I believe the bartender was our waitress until it got busy, then she only came back to get her tip. No refills offered on our drinks as we sat and talked. There was a better waitress that offered refills just before we were getting ready to leave. The thing that upset me the most was bringing me a check with the total of $27, and my giving her my charge card to pay that, then getting the bill back of over $30. Guess she forgot to add the price of the tea? I should have forgot to tip in return. I will never return tell someone that they should come here for the food. BUT if you are looking to get drunk, I know that they excel at getting people drunk and continuing to serve people when they have had far too many (previous experience) This is a good place to come for Karaoke and bands. This restaurant is pretty good, they have karaoke everyday at 730 they have one of those TouchTunes jukeboxes so u can pick music using ur phone if you download the free app. If ur sitting inside u can still hear the music over the karaoke. They have 2 outside patios and you can smoke cigars! Not a huge beer selection but the beers cheap so it's ok. And most importantly the food is amazing! If you're lucky enough to go on a day that Alex is in the kitchen he makes the best rib-eye steak! We always end up getting waited on by Kat she is really good, also the place is kid friendly.
