I called a few places when the cable on our garage door broke. Martin door would give a broad estimate ($150-300) over the phone and would've charged a service call to make an accurate estimate. Lawrence provided a reasonable estimate over the phone and when the tech showed, he suggested both cables be replaced at a cost less than the lowest Martin estimate. Showed up with half an hour, completed the work perfectly within a half hour and was friendly and professional. Company is close by and they'll be my go-to from now on. I can't recommend them high enough. read more

Garage door went on the fritz and wouldn't close. Called Lawrence Doors in Coal Valley on Monday morning and repair expert here by 12:00 and was very friendly and knowledgeable and informative and explained the problems fully--and then fixed them. Brought back a needed part the next day at no extra charge for the trip. Cost extremely reasonable for the work performed and this customer cannot recommend them highly enough. Lawrence Doors called and said they would be at my house within 15 to 20 minutes and they were. The service person came right in and knew exactly what to do. They did the repair within 15 minutes. He checked the other side of the door just to make sure it was good and he checked my other garage door as well. I was really happy with the service I received. The price was reasonable as well. The spring on one of our garage doors broke late in the day, making it unusable. I contacted Lawrence Doors based on their yelp reviews and they came out the next morning. Andy arrived promptly on time and not only quickly replaced the broken spring and cable, but also inspected, serviced and lubricated both doors. We had our garage door out of alignment due to a small mishap. I called these folks and they replied to my call within minutes and had the garage door fixed in less than 30 minutes. This is the quickest response I have received in the Quad Cities. Very professional and charges were fair as well.
