This place feels like heaven on earth! This is the cutest little plant shop. Not only do they have a ton of plants but they also have them well organized and even have a pet-safe section which I haven't found anywhere else! Everyone working was so lovely and they will plant your existing replants for you - or plant ones you buy that day. I got a gorgeous planter, a large plant, and a couple of cute little "fairy" plants. Definitely recommend if you have a green thumb or want to learn more! I'll definitely be taking a class here in the future. read more

This spot has been on my list for a while now because it's not in my neck of the woods. We had the chance to stop by on a drive back from Knoxville today. I was worried they would be closed due to icy weather conditions but I reached out on instagram and they responded right away that they should be open. So glad we made the stop! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. They even potted my kids plants and explained the purpose of drainage while they did so. I am super grateful that they took the time to share some plant knowledge and hopefully some plant love on to the next generation. Thank you for our beautiful new plants!!! This place is absolutely amazing. Luckily ended up here on a search for a fiddle leaf tree and it was a great experience. Picked out a fiddle, snake plant and pothos for hanging. They had so many to choose from but the best part was the employees being more then willing to help with ANY questions you had. Kimberly helped us and she was the best person ever. We went and got the pots and they potted them for us and made the whole process so easy. They had a ton of cute planter options but were low stock because of covid. We ran to hobby lobby and they held our plants in the meantime! Definitely recommend as the go to for any plant needs!!! read more

They really make sure you understand the plant care before leaving the shop, and will even pot your plant for free (if you bring your own pot or purchase one of theirs)! We took our beautiful braided sansevera back to Lawrence and Clark for a two month wellness check. My grandson had potted it so well for me there. He was proud of the beautiful pot that he knew I would like. After a stuffy winter indoors, all my plants had bugs and suspicious webs on them. A knowledgeable clerk checked the soil, new growth and color. She sprayed it with a protectant blend and also sprayed a desert rose I as worried about. This is where I will go for plants and supplies with trust from now on. A jewel in Old Hickory. This is the most adorable plant shop ever. It's a bit hard to see from the street as it has a small storefront but it's a whole different world inside the shop. There's an amazing selection of plants that suits any kind of taste, it's well organized, the decor of the shop is lovely, and the customer service is fantastic. The owner and shop clerk are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about their plants, and plant care in general. They have some really great tips on how to keep your plants healthy. This little shop is also involved in the local neighborhood (Old Hickory Village) by hosting the Old Hickory Winter Farmers Market every Thursday. It's a great place spot for us OHV folks. I found out about LC Cactico from my friealtor (friend + realtor) and can't stop going back. I have so many plants from there (close to 20 or so...). I had a beautiful planter box and tried grow flowers in them for two years. I preceded to kill flowers for two years in a row. I decided to quit that and turned it into a succulent/cactus planter box. It's THRIVING! I brought in the planter box and they helped me pick out various succulents that would work together. The bunny ear cactus is the centerpiece and it is SO beautiful. It's been such a joy watching it grow. Only one succulent died and I bought another one to replace it. They potted it for me which was a heaven send. I have brought in pots when I buy my plants and they gladly potted them as well. I have all types- from a flapjack to a pencil cactus and they are all doing well. I was a little stressed when I saw my jade plant shriveling and they helped me over IG. It's so appreciated and they also tell you when to bring your plants in for the fall/winter. They have taken over my house but I don't mind. I look forward to going back and buying more plants! read more

After our first visit, we were hooked! You can pick out your own pottery, multiple plants and they will pot it up for you. They also help you get creative with your pairings... it's such a fun experience and you leave with a beautiful arrangement. Such an amazingly pleasant shop, caring employees & an overall positive environment. I wasn't much of a plant person, had no background knowledge whatsoever but wanted to add greenery to my place --- after just one visit to this shop I learned so much and felt comfortable to ask questions. My roommate and I have went back multiple times to add to our collection; they're always getting new fun plants and pottery! The owner Kim is an absolute GEM-- couldn't be sweeter, it's so obvious she cares tremendously about her business, employees and refers to her plants as her children... no doubt you'll leave your visit with a tremendous smile on your face! I have been a long time customer. Bought an expensive plant which after a few weeks was not doing well. I was told to bring the plant in. The owner Kim told me she was to busy to deal with me. Then told me "she would need to eat the cost of the plant". Thereafter, bad mouthed me. Shame on you, so unprofessional. Go elsewhere. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! I was referred by a friend who raved about how helpful they are at giving advice of how to keep your plants alive after she bought them. If you have any issues whatsoever you can take a photo of your plant, send it to them, and they will tell you what to do to fix it! Also, if you buy a plant from them they will repot it for you for free. I will never ever buy from Walmart or Lowe's again. The employees are so nice, the shop is gorgeous, and everything is reasonably priced! read more

What an amazing hidden treasure! We drove right by it, as it resides in a tiny, old-fashioned store facade on Old Hickory Blvd, which is a 5 lane highway. This precious place houses hundreds of plants from exotic hanging orchids to tiny potted succulents. The floor plants are beautiful and varied. Free potting is such a bonus as you get to see your purchases professionally and thoughtfully planted in either a pot you purchase there OR your own pot. After we made our selections and chose our vessels, we went NEXT DOOR to the other half of this amazing footprint. The Garden Mercantile offers so many unique and awe inspiring curated items. It also features one whole wall of air plants with so many different options to display them. Then you walk into the garden area, which is decorated with palm trees, hens and chicks in terra cotta strawberry planters, etc., etc. I could go on and on about the offerings. But best of all? the associates and caregivers to all these living beauties and exceptional items: extremely accessible and knowledgeable. Thank you for offering up this little piece of heaven. By far the best place to get houseplants in Nashville! I just visited for the first time, and it did not disappoint. Such a large selection. The owner and staff were wonderful.
