DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS BUSINESS
Purchased a 360 Toro time saver mower. Had a loose bolt wedge the blade between the deck. Damage occurred.
First because I have a heart, I decided to meet them half way and purchase new blades, and they did some repairs to get me back to my lawn care.
Was left with a slightly bent blade spindle, and a bent hole in the deck where the bolt had pulled through into the blade area by the spinning blade.
It was the follow up by Toro and myself that escalated this issue as I had contacted them that day whilst I was in the store, and during my confusing experience with the Lawnmower Store.
I was given access to the unit on their lift after the manager told me that the deck could not go up and down, and components were bent ( keep in mind I was able to mow the lawn after the bolt broke in half under the power of the blade!)
After joint inspection with mechanic, manger, and myself; it was so determined that nothing was bent, and the deck raised fine. Manager had to compare with a new unit on the floor, he and the mechanic stated that Toro re engineered the parts, and they weren't bent, that's the new angles in them!! Rrrrrrr.
So now I have facts and the lack of any visual collision points of contact of any sorts by a foreign object was not present, thus cleared me of any negligent/accidental act by myself, that could have damaged the Zero turn mower.
We all agreed that for a reason why the/a bolt came loose was hard to determine, thus we concluded it was a fluke.
3 weeks later, numerous calls to toro corporate, strange changing stories between what I was being told, and what Toro was being told, and many disheartening descriptive comments by the Lawnmower store in contradiction to our joint discussions of the day of inspection of my mower ; Toro requested I bring the unit to Richmond Hill's All Seasons Power Equipment.
I once again loaded her up ( my Toro 360 Timesaver), and headed to the new Toro dealer.
Wow, like night and day! They treated me like my baby was in the ER! They immediately investigated the unit, they looked at the engine, tires, all components, and with such a fine toothed comb! They actually could point out every part by name, what would have been damaged if I struck something, how pristine I kept the unit, and so forth. (they poked fun at me because I waxed her!)
Well behold, they were taken back by the Lawnmowers store untrue , unprofessional, and seemingly skewed determination, they immediately contacted Toro with the conclusive facts, with pictures, and intelligent inspection points to back up my truthful claim.
They actually agreed that a freak manufacturer defect had taken place, and I was not some dishonorable customer.
The Lawnmower Store is very dishonest, do not know the Toro Mower engineered parts very well, and don't rely on facts nor visual proof.
They try and discredit a customer, and ignore a huge amount of proof to support a customers claim, and do not have a deep educated understanding of Toro products, and will misconstrued conversations.
Facts are facts, and the "truth shall set you free!" As I't did in my case!

Update: Toro contacted me, apologized, and will do what ever it takes to get unit back to pristine condition.
They will also be generating and report, and dispatching a regional sales rep to the lawnmower store to discuss their relationship, as a result of this case.
Thank you All a seasons! And Toro! read more
