LANDMARK WEALTH MANAGEMENT REVIEW: We researched several…read morefirms for our wealth management and estate planning. Landmark Wealth Management, which had been recommended by a trusted friend, was one of them. After days of preparation and subsequent submission of pages and pages of answers to questions, we were told that that our assets didn't fit their "business model" No problem, we wound up with a highly reputable firm that gave no such negative feedback. No big shakes, we went on about our business. But then here is the insult resulting in this review: We just found out, from the friend who recommended them, and remains one of their current clients, that when Landmark thanked them for the recommendation , they additionally shared our financial situation with and provided the reason for them saying we were "not a fit." The sharing of our financial situation, no matter how specific or nonspecific it might have been, is highly unethical and unprofessional. Their behavior goes against their very own "Mission and Values" as stated on their website: Practice and encourage others to practice in a professional and ethical manner that will reflect credit on themselves and the profession. We recommend thinking twice before engaging this firm in any possible management of your wealth, no matter how large or small.

They also offer accounting services. We were sooooo lost without them. We found them through a referral made by another small business owner and what a difference...worth every single penny. They taught us everything from QuickBooks to what to do with a receipt. We are planning to use them for accounting as well in the near future. Every single start-up should plan to invest in this service. Without question. The best part is that they don't try to oversell. They know you are on a budget and so they don't mind if you plan ahead and prepare yourself so that when they come in you can be as time efficient as possible. They will give you homework. Do it! They multi-task with you and a lot can be accomplished. If we could only turn back the time! HA!

When I had a few things I didn't know how to deal with, I hopped on the internet and searched for a place to get my taxes done. Jackson Hewitt? No, I've heard terrible things... H&R Block? I remember my mother used to use them and she HATED them, so that was a no. I really didn't know where to turn. My nights were becoming stressful because I usually had my taxes done the second I had my W2's. But with a confusing situation and some additional, unrecognizable documents, I didn't want to do it myself like I always had. I turned to Yelp. I searched "taxes", and Acade Tax Services, LLC was the first thing to pop up. "5 stars? Oh, this has to be a good place" I've always been the kind of person who has to hype themself up before making a phone call or I shout and cry because I'm not as much of an adult as I like to say I am. I called, and I got a machine (which is totally great!). The message told me I could make an appointment on the website. I made one there, and it was easy peasy. There are late appointments available (mine was at 8PM) which is great for someone like me who is a busy bumble bee. I was super nervous just becuase I'm that kind of person, but the whole experience was great. Darren is awesome to work with! He answered all of my questions, explained everything in detail when needed (I needed it a lot). He's very friendly and made me feel confident that I chose the right person this tax season. I will definitely be returning to him, and I have already told many people to see him. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!
