If you're looking for a legal team that is equal parts brilliant, compassionate, and relentlessly…read morededicated, look no further than Matthew McGahren and his team--including Eric and Leslie. They are, quite simply, the dream team of the legal world. I don't know about everyone else, but I used to have certain expectations about lawyers--only to be very disappointed when I realized just how hard it can be to find a good one. Turns out, they're all human (who knew?), and just like any industry, there are some bad seeds. If my only experience had been with this firm, though, my expectations would have remained untouched. The day you need a lawyer usually isn't what you'd call a good day, which makes it even more important to find someone you can trust. And trust me--this is the team you want. They actually care. They listen, take the time to truly understand your case, and ensure you feel confident about what's ahead. They are thorough, responsive, and full of integrity--they do what they say and say what they do, which is always valuable, but when you're navigating some of the hardest, scariest moments of your life, it's absolutely essential. What really sets them apart is their outside-the-box thinking, patience, and willingness to answer all 1,500 of your questions (yes, even the ones you think are dumb--spoiler: they're not). They take their time, never make you feel rushed, and--most importantly--never make you feel like just a paycheck. They genuinely want the best possible outcome for you. And the best part? They actually do what they say they're going to do, when they say they're going to do it--which, as anyone who has ever needed a lawyer knows, is an absolute game-changer. I would recommend this firm to anyone and everyone who will listen. If you need a legal team that's sharp, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile, this is the one. Just don't take up too much of their time--I still have a few more questions left to ask them.

This was just to get me a bond, he wanted a remaining 20k to cover my case. Communication was extremely poor, especially during such a stressful situation. What concerned me most was that he sent a private note we had written directly to the DA, which felt highly unprofessional and unethical. To make matters worse, he later called and insulted me personally, saying, "there must be something wrong with your brain." No client should ever be spoken to that way. Although he was able to get a bond, the conditions attached to it were so excessive that it was nearly impossible to actually get released from jail. For the amount of money charged, I expected far better treatment, professionalism, and communication. Overall, an awful experience and I would not recommend his services.
