No bills, no cards. I didn't know that, but luckily the cafe across the street made change for me. TIP #2: don't be afraid to ask the employee for help. I'm not ashamed; I did! She showed me how it's done. Turns out there's one machine that collects coins for everything...detergent, washer selection, and dryer selection. First, was buying the detergent. Pay for it with the one machine that accepts coins for everything then the detergent pops out of a vending machine a couple of feet away... detergent comes in two alka-seltzer type tablets. One tablet goes in each side of the machine's soap tray. Second, remember your washer's number and select it from the coin-pay machine, then hit the green button on your washer and you're all set. Dryer is the same process. About 4.5 Euros for the wash and the dryer charges by time. I think it's about 1 Euro per 10 minutes. Hope this helps! Julice Laverie... They don't speak English here, so practice your French! But also there's a sign on the wall with instructions in English. It's not a coin-op, you have to pay with your credit card at the machine near the dry cleaning window. There's various size washers that cost different prices. If you're too shy to ask how to get it all to work here you go: 1) put your clothes in a machine 2) put soap (if you I need to buy it, but it at the same machine near dry cleaning section) 3) close door and pick wash style (hot, cold, etc) 4) remember your machine number and go pay at the machine again 5) machine tells you how much time is left. 6) move to dryer, same paying instructions You can walk around or go back to your hotel. Your clothes are safe there. I'd use this place again if I was in the neighborhood

Seems #20, 21, 23 are the biggest and fastest (25 minutes) we had small loads (#10 -18) 45 minutes :-( Don't forget to get detergent #32 and fabric softener #33! Overall, once you figure out the machines it's easy. Would give 5 stars if it indicated which machines took soooo loooong!

If you need soap tablets, you type in the number on the pay machine of the soap dispenser machine and then put in 1-2 Euros and the soap machine will drop a packet with two soap tablets in it. The numbers are on the washers and dryers so whichever machine you need to start or add time to, you just type the number in the pay machine and it will either start the washer or add time to your dryer. I thought the wash machines went forever but we did pick the colors options which was like 50 mins or so. The dryers are very hot and actually dry very fast. The laundromat can get kind of crowded though as there are more washers than dryers. People will take your clothes out of the dryer if they are done, so be sure to be back at the laundromat before your clothes are dry if you don't like other people handling your clothes. Overall, it was only about $4 Euros to wash and a few Euros to dry. Don't worry about exact change as the pay machine gives change. It was perfect for those who are backpacking/travelling around Europe if you don't want to wash your clothes in a sink somewhere.

We ended up deciding to bring it here for their wash and fold service since we didn't want to waste probably the last sunny day here. Arrived close to opening time, were pleasantly greeted and asked if we could have a same day turnaround. The lady obliged, gathered our clothes, and wrote up a claim ticket. Asked approximately how much our laundry would cost and she quoted us €60 for our 3 bags. Not exactly cheap but then again the facility was clean, tidy, and close to the Hilton Opera. We couldn't figure out exactly how she came up with the quote since she just dropped the bags onto the floor (didn't see a scale on the floor). **Clothes came out smelling great but they lost a sock of mine which they later found stuck in the washer. My advice would be to make sure to take an inventory of all articles of clothing before you drop it off. I believe I saw a rate of €4.99 per kilo but that was at their second location.
