I mean this dude really really took me from a low point in my own personal life, to a completely different position by the time I was walking out...I felt like I was in Las Vegas or something! I will say that especially in a recreational city / state, with dispensaries on every corner, that on top of good pricing and quality it certainly helps for individual stores to have "Loud" outdoor signage and a unique indoor vibe... to stand out from the rest There are a surprising amount of dispensaries in Gallup, for such a small town....but Lava is my favorite by far. For sure comin' back when I pass through!

First, this place cracks me up. I've never seen a drive-up coffee and tobacco shop before. So I…read morehad to try it, just for that. They have a smoothie menu and an EXTENSIVE latte menu, hung as banners along their south exterior wall. I'm working my way alphabetically through their lattes - banana, cake batter, toasted marshmallow, vanilla....and way more! Their lattes are PHENOMENAL. Coffee is not real bitter, so they don't have to go all crazy with the syrup flavorings. It's just a subtle flavor to a good coffee. (I drink coffee as a hot dessert. I want it SWEET!) Toasted marshmallow was TOO subtle so I ordered it with extra shots, and that just tasted like flavoring syrup. $5 minimum order if paying by card $3.75 lattes (They have candy bars and lighters for $1.25, so I now have a LOT of those. lol) Indoor seating as well, but I use the drive-thru exclusively. This is very nearly a daily stop for me now.

Scott and Duncan can lead you to find your cigar, or pipe and tobacco you're looking for. Also, I'm not a member of their Cigar (or pipe) Lounge but I'm thinking of it. Its a private club with all the freedoms of just such a club. The Lounge also has a "Day Pass" if you want to stop in for the day. This is the best cigar/pipe/tobacco business in Albuquerque, and I've been around and Monte's has no peer.
