Filed for services never conducted on me. Now my Delta Dental won't pay for new services.

I adore him. Truly. He's kind and gentle. He knows how to put me at ease. I'm admittedly a big big baby when it comes to dental care but I trust him completely. He relates to fear and knows how to help. I have taken meds for years before dental visits but with him I'm able to go in without anything. I highly recommend him to anyone but especially for people like me with A LOT of dental anxiety. Sara is my hygienist. If you go in ask for her specifically. She was a dental assistant for two decades before she became a hygienist. She's super gentle and incredibly intelligent. She offers me new ideas and tricks when I come in. She remembers me and what we talked about last. She asks about my kids and talks freely about herself. I love that! It makes me feel like I matter to her even though I only see her twice a year! Lastly, the office manager, Tricia, is super sweet and knowledgeable. She's a patient of the practice as well and she knows everything about the practice. She's worked as a dental assistant in the back for years, in the front office, and as the person you talk with if you want to have any cosmetic or aesthetic done. She's Dr. Cha's right hand and I've come to truly enjoy chatting with her. She loves what she does and you can tell.

While the dental team who worked on…read moreboth my husband and I were great, we cannot say the same for the billing and management staff. Both my husband and I had several appointments to correct some things we agree were needed, but this dental office charged us about $1000 more upfront than what we actually owed. When we called to get this resolved and refunded, we were told for a week straight their insurance/billing person was not in and would contact us once they returned. The following week, we finally got ahold of someone and the dental office emailed over our treatment plans so we could review them against our EOBs. After reviewing all the documents, calculating exactly how much we overpaid, and discovering they "forgot" to bill insurance for 8 different things on my husband's treatment plan, we immediately reached out to the dental office to figure out how to move forward and could not get a response. We spoke with our insurance provider who had to call the dental office to get them to submit the claims for all work completed. We continued to follow up via email and calls to go over the numbers and it took another week to get in touch with the correct person, Tiana, who refused to go over the treatment plan and EOB line by line and told us we were in fact owed a refund, but not as much as we were claiming, all because she couldn't understand how to read the EOB correctly. After that call my husband decided it would be easier to discuss this issue in person, requested to leave work early, and drove down to the dental office. He was quickly assured by the office manager that we were correct, and she needed to audit our account and send it to her accountant for a refund. She promised that we would hear something by the end of day 7/9/24. My husband emailed the office yesterday, 7/9/24, to follow up and (surprise!) we did not hear anything from them. We attempted to call the office today and were once again told that anyone who could help us is not available. Long story short - we still have not received our refund. Learn from us and either choose a different dental office or watch your EOBs like a hawk.
