Highland Park - Day 2: Thieves ripped the passenger window out of the car.

This really isn't about the apartments, they are great. It's to warn about a tenant. A while back,…read moreI paid them to watch my animals while I was out of town, paid up front and left detailed instructions as to what my babies needed and liked. Also, my schedule and when I woululd be returning. I returned on a Saturday evening and while I was carrying my luggage upstairs, the pet sitter happened to see me as they were near the front pool. They came over and said they were surprised to see me, although I had left my schedule prior. They offered to repay me for that day because they had thought I would be back the next day. They pulled out a stack of quarters to repay me. I told them not to bother and thanked them for watching my animals. Now, this is the part that made me sour. I have a change jar, it contains all the change I collect, and I had counted it before I left town. I did so because I wanted to see how much I had for a possible car wash machine. Something told me to recount it. I was missing $5.00 in quarters from the jar. Later on, I noticed that my Snow White and seven dwarfs candles my grandson had given me were also missing. My animals were taken care of, but the other incidents left me unhappy. I called the sitter, who said I was wrong, that they hadn't done what I said, even though they wanted to pay me back in quarters, and quarters were missing. No one else had been to my apartment while I was gone. Just a heads up about their pet sitting service which I won't name but be aware.

Day 2 in the apartment, and this happens to my car: Thieves broke in, ripped out the passenger side…read morewindow and destroyed my steering column. The car is undriveable. Is this caring for your tenants? I went to the Leasing office and they absolutely took no ownership: "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." Is this caring for your tenants? Maybe you need an attorney to help you think proactively about protecting your tenants instead of pretending that a seldom used tennis court matters to your renters. It's not that hard to install a video system these days. Unhelpful and uncaring.

I've had a great experience living at The Elm at River Park. The community is well-maintained,…read morequiet, and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to feel at home. The property is consistently clean, and it's clear that management takes pride in keeping everything in good condition. The amenities are also a great bonus--one of my personal favorites is the awesome coffee station. Everything is always accessible and well cared for. The location is very convenient, with easy access to shopping, dining, and major roads, while still maintaining a calm and relaxed environment. One of the biggest reasons I've stayed is the staff. Morgan, the manager, does an excellent job overseeing the community, and Judith, Gracie, Millie, Sergio, Amy, Sandra, and Jason all work together as a great team. Everyone is friendly, professional, and helpful, and it really feels like they care about the residents and take pride in what they do. I've chosen to renew my lease multiple times, which really speaks to how much I enjoy living here. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Elm at River Park to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to live.I

All of the residents are so nice and it's a perfect blend of people of all ages. If you're looking for a place to rent in Fort Worth, don't consider anywhere other than the Elm. WOW! Wish I could rate them a negative Zero. Family member has lived there for two years and paid…read morerent timely and efficiently. Renewed second year and again was diligent in paying rent. Circumstances changed and gave notice month to month notice( late ) by email. They never RESPONDED to email ( legal obligation to do so) , then charged increased rent for month to month with no signed agreement in place ( again legal obligation to do so) Family member went to office to have a discussion and they bullied them into signing for an extra month when they wont even live there. BOTTOM LINE.. typical tactics ..THEY NEED OUR MONEY!! Definitely not a place to live unless you are dedicated to becoming accustomed to saying YES,.. whatever you say.. and basically having no rights to a discussion. RIDICULOUS 3rd Grade mentality by the staff to having a meaningful conversation VS I want to win and not listen! DO NOT . DO NOT move here!

This place is way too expensive for what you actually get. Like others have said, the parking…read moregarage is a nightmare. There are huge trucks and work vans crammed in there, and it just doesn't feel safe or well-managed. People speed around the corners like they're on a track, and nothing's really being done about it. The internet's also a joke even if you pay for the upgraded plan, it's still painfully slow and barely streams videos. The location itself isn't bad, but the nearby roads are already packed, and with new housing going in across the street, it's only going to get worse. Plus, people park in the fire lanes every morning like it's no big deal. These type of apartments shouldn't be more then 1250 for a one bedroom.
