The people are genuine , they preach God's word in its entirety, they enact upon the commands in the Bible, they worship more than in song also in word and deed daily, they hold people accountable, they disciple people, love people, serve people, and all for the glory of God...to make his name known! Character and integrity run deep through a large portion of the body! Faithfulness and genuineness flows from the staff! This church carries out the mission to love people and make more and better disciples with excellence (not perfection:no one does, but utmost excellence)! We have found true connection, family, and accountability within this church, but that happens over time with vulnerability in a small group of people. We love that moving to New Bern and not knowing anyone unfolded easily because this church body was here! 100% recommend faithfully coming for a year and trying to get connected, because there is ample opportunity to not do life alone. I have been going to Latitude for a few years now and I can't see myself anywhere else. my daughter is the reason I go. when she was younger she would attend the youth events they hosted weekly, she would come home and lay some knowledge she had heard. So I went to check it out...I have not walked back out. I have been in and out of churches. This is the first one where I feel like I really belong and people really care. I also attend a connect group they have and they have made me feel welcome and loved enough I'll be starting one at the church. One rumor I have heard says it's a cult...if love and acceptance is "culty" then they are guilty . I love my church. read more

Latitude Church is HOME to anyone of any age, race or gender. From the moment you pull into the driveway on Sunday morning you are treated as a special guest. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable in the Word of God, but also down to Earth and friendly. I'm grateful also that when I can't attend on-site I can watch it online live, or just watch the sermon later in. The week. Such a welcoming church from the moment you drive up. Everyone is so nice. The messages preached really touch your heart and make you reflect on your walk with God. It doesn't make you feel ashamed of your sins, but instead you feel/are reminded that you are forgiven and loved by God. There is wonderful little café inside and there is daycare during service.
