I love random hole in the wall finds! This is a small cute restaurant. The gentleman in front taking orders was very pleasant. I ordered lunch to go and almost ordered one of every thing off the menu. I wanted to eat it all! My favorite was the shredded beef patacon (plantain sandwich). Who needs bread when you have fried plantains! (Which are absolutely my favorite). The salsas have a good kick to it. And I enjoyed the tres leches cake for dessert. I stopped by Latino Bites Express for dinner on a Tuesday. This casual restaurant is located in a nondescript, small shopping center so parking won't be an issue. It's a relatively small restaurant with three or four tables so it seems like even though you can dine in, it's more of a grab-and-go type spot. Latino Bites Express brings together dishes from several Latin countries including Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia, Argentina, etc. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. We ordered quite the feast so I got to sample a bunch of items off of their menu. This included their Latin burger which comes with avocado (always a plus) and a side of waffle fries. Beyond that, we also tried their quesadilla with beef which you can order with your choice of protein and two sizes. I also had an arepa with pork, an order of tequenos, and a bunch of sides including their elote, tostones, fries, and yucca fries. They also provide you with an assortment of sauces with the green one being mild and the rest hiking up the spice level. All of this was washed down with a watermelon agua fresca. All-around, the food was fantastic and great value for the price. The cashier was also super nice and friendly. I love the variety that their menu provides and I'll definitely be back to feast again! Honestly, if you want to be slapped in the face with delicious food, step inside. At first it felt suspect, like maybe someone had their abuela in the back sweating and putting in the lords work... but I see the whole crew is handling business. Only reason I don't give it five stars is because I can't eat everything at once lol. The staff is always friendly, and welcoming. I was craving some Arepas last week and was fortunate enough for this place to be only a slight detour on my way home...Ironically I ended up going with a Beef Jibarito instead because I hadn't had plantains in FOREVER and I love the texture and flavor of properly crisped green plantains. The sandwich ended up being way bigger than I expected, but was amazing. I really enjoyed the textural contrast between the Plantain "Bun" and the softness of the spiced ground beef, lettuce, and tomatoes. It came with two different sauces (Cilantro Crema and a Red Salsa) and both paired wonderfully. This places is no frills but the food delivers. Note that the menu posted here has outdated pricing. Was recently working at Pearland and wanted some latin food. Searched on Yelp and found this hidden gem 5 minutes from where I was working at. It's close to a gas station and if you are not looking for it you can miss it. They have front store parking and parking is a litte limited on space but decided to go in and was greated by a friendly cashier that took my order at counter. About 15 minutes later my food was brought to the table and I taught food would be small bites but had the arepa and got full so I took the Jibarito to go. They have a variety of latin american foods to choose from, probably the most I've seen from a "fast-casual" restaurant. I got the tinga tacos, chicken that has also been cooked with chorizo. Fantastic Latin food in the Pearland area. If you're looking for Latin cuisine, this place is for you. The tostones were perfectly fried and salted. The yucca fries were the best I've had, crunchy in all the right places. We thoroughly enjoyed our arepas. I must say I haven't had arepas this good since visiting a Venezuelan arepa place in Cartagena Colombia. They were able to accommodate our vegan diets with grilled veggies and avocado. I would have loved an option to add grilled mushrooms in addition to the onions and bell peppers. The sauces were delicious, unfortunately no guasacaca but that did not disappoint. After a long flight from the East coast, I wanted a taco, or something close to it...like a burrito. I Yelped and found this place not too far from the airport. And, it was on the route to West Houston. The restaurant itself isn't anything to write home about but it surely did smell good inside. The smells coming from the back were enticing. I ordered a chicken burrito and my nephew and niece got a chicken quesadilla. For checking in on Yelp, we received a free empanada. We got the chicken empanada. Latino Bites Express is a fairly new restaurant in Pearland that specializes in Latin food. By recommendation by one of the owners there, I tried the Arepa, a well-known and popular Venezuelan dish, with Colombian influences. As tortillas are to Mexico and pasta is to Italy, Arepas are to Venezuela and is an important part of their culture and food cuisine. Arepas are made with grilled corn patties, and topped with cheese, but, Venezuelan Arepas are stuffed, and arranged like a sandwich, with added meats in between the corn cakes. I chose pork for my meat of choice, and I believed I chose correctly. The pork was extremely moist and juicy, the juices flowing down onto the plate. The buns were crunchy and melt on your mouth, along with the cheese that sat atop the hot bun. Their Pupusas are stuffed with cheese, beans, and chicharrons, fried pork rinds, a combination I've never had before. The curtido, or spicy cabbage slaw, is a nice balance from the heavy meatiness; it's refreshing, bright in appearance, adds a crunch to every bite, and gives a little acidity to taste. Their version was exquisite and crave-worthy for anyone who loves Pupusas as much as I do. The Meat Lover Quesadilla comes with bacon, chorizo, beef, and plenty of cheese. It's incredibly juicy and savory from all the different meats in it. The chorizo gives a slight kick and sweetness, while the bacon gives a little salt to taste, and the cheese was wonderfully gooey and melted perfectly between the tortillas. The mountain-like amount of meat in the Quesadilla is more than enough for one person, but thankfully, it's a nice dish to split with someone else so you can have a variety of other dishes to try there as well. They also offer two different types of Empanadas, the Gaucho and Paisa, both different from one another with their own distinct flavor. The Gaucho, the darker of the two Empanadas, is made with wheat flour and stuffed with hard-boiled eggs, onion, bell peppers, and ground beef, with hints of paprika. The beef in the Empanada is extremely juicy and bursts with flavor because of the accompanying paprika and spice seasoning. The egg is a pleasant surprise that works extremely well for the Empanada. The Paisa, is the Colombian's version of the Empanada, and is corn based dough, made with potato, onion, and ground beef. The potatoes are the real star of the dish, accounting for a creamy and soft interior inside. The dough is crispy, a beautiful golden brown. The Empanada was starchy, but if you're a fan of meat and potatoes, this one is definitely for you. Tequeños are like Mozzarella Sticks, with some differences. Instead of a breadcrumb coating, pizza dough is used for the outer layer, and queso blanco is the cheese of choice for the dish. The pizza dough provides for a sweet and buttery taste, and flaky texture, a beautiful golden color. The queso blanco is semi-soft and salty. Together, they are a perfect balance of sweet and salty, addicting to taste, and impossible to stop. If you're ever in the Pearland area, this place is definitely worth visiting. read more

I would strongly recommend not eating here. While the food is okay, the prices are outrageous for what you get. We ordered two Arepas (Queen Arepa and the Chicken Asada Arepa). Each one was priced at $11.99 but where the size of a McDonald's cheese burger. As you can see in the attached picture, the kitchen even forgot the avocados on our Queen Arepa. This is quite a rip off. To the other commenter who said the portions are generous....they really are not. The Empanadas which cost $12.95 for 3 pieces were also very small. All three empandas fit in the same small to go box that would barely fit a McDonald's BigMac. As for how they taste, they were plain and dry. I've had better frozen empandas from HEB.
