Once I had opened the package and looked at the socks I decided that I wanted to exchange a couple of pairs for a different colour. I called UK Socks and returned the socks for an exchange. I don't know why it's the best in my opinion, but it is. I always seem to come away with masses of bargains and the've always got the very best of stuff and plenty of it. Perhaps it's just me, who knows. It's in a really good location as well, with plenty of other shops nearly and Sainsbury's a couple of shops along so you really can spend a day there. Their refund policy has recently changed so be very careful if you're buying anything that you may have to return - max 14 days and you NEED your receipt otherwise they won't even do an exchange. Anyone else think this is the best TKM, or am I just losing the plot a little?!

TK Maxx is rail upon rail of last seasons fashions, its basically what other stores/catalogues havent been able to sell so sizes are a mismatch, but the prices are greatly reduced, and especially during the sales you can find some amazing bargains. It isnt just clothes though, theres baby items, books, homeware, toys, shoes, hats, gifts and items for special occassions. Its very hard to get help from a member of staff as theres rarely any round, maybe one or two on the tills, and then possibly another at the changing rooms. Hard to get a pushchair imbertween the aisles.

Worst customer service!!…read more My friend ordered a dress made to measure from this boutique. She ordered the dress 7weeks in advance and was told it will be ready in time. When we went to the shop the man who owns the shop showed us the dress which was the same dress she saw on the mannequin 7weeks ago. The dress had marks and few beading missing. The dress which she wanted hadn't arrived and the owner lied saying the dress in front of us was the new one she ordered. The owner lied so much he had no idea after a while what he was saying. The owner is the rudest person I have come across screaming at the customers. Customers needs did not come first. Owner didn't want to listen to the customer and lied over and over again!! Do NOT shop from this boutique. You won't get what you pay for. BEWARE!!

For somewhere so small, manages to cater for everything your could want in the goth, emo and punk categories. They have a huge selection of band t-shirts and the cheapest body jewellery in Derby (£2.50 a piece!). Also have hair dye, bags, belts, buckles other fashion accessories. My partner bought him a Minecraft badge, and left the shop. As me and my son were getting ready to go, my son spotted some other Minecraft items, as six year old's do. I called him over, then looked at the counter assistant, who was looking supremely annoyed, and was grumbling to himself. I called my son over, and then looked once more towards the counter which is next to the door, and the assistant was literally scowling at us, and shaking his head. I said to him "what is the problem" Counter Assistant: "I want to go out, I have to go". (There was no way of us knowing this) I call my son, who came over... Me: "There's no need to be scowling at him, he's six years old!!!!!" C/A "It's not him" Me: "So I'm a problem now?, all I've done is bought an item and spent at most, 4 minutes in your shop, and you have the nerve to scowl at my six year old son" I was furious, and once my son was out of earshot, I gave the assistant a piece of my mind, not that he was in the least bit bothered. He shut the door and left the shop. I popped into the next door unit, which is also part of Viva Hate, and asked the counter assistant there what was the problem with the person next door. This counter assistant just scowled too!!! I have never, ever been to a shop that so clearly didn't want custom. It was like the sitcom Black Books, but nastier. Incidentally, we went straight from Viva Hate to a store next door, and they saw the look on my face and were totally, totally wonderful, and pretty much put me, my partner and son back on the track of having a lovely day out. Anyone heading derbywards, I IMPLORE you, do not go to Viva Hate, go to Asylum, find a Blue Banana, go to brum on a train. There is zero excuse for such rude behaviour from counter staff.

I called in to find a top but the store really doesn't aim at me as I am under 30 and poor! Although they did have a sale rail with some reasonably priced goods. The quality of clothing is excellent, you can feel it in the clothes. The store is well presented and well laid out and is always busy. They do have occasional charity fashion shows which are worth the ticket price. Worth a look if you are after something very classy, maybe for a wedding? There is no parking specifically but the street outside you can park for free but spaces are limited.
