Jennifer asked how I would like my lashes to look so I showed her a few pictures, and she started working away. Time flew by quickly while we chatted away I felt like I was talking to my sister she's so easy to converse with. I also worried that I might need to use the bathroom during our session (Im 3 months pregnant and feel like I have to pee pee all the time) and she was so sweet to offer walking me to the bathroom if needed. I do not get my lashes done very often because I don't have the time to keep up with them, however when I need them done I always go to see Jennifer and Lashed In Style. This was my 3rd time having her do my lashes and every time I get tons of compliments. I am going on my 2nd week and it looks like I just got them done. Since I do not wear lashes often, Jennifer did a great job of not making them feel heavy even though they are very full. Sometimes I forget I even have them on. Not only is her work amazing, but Jennifer is awesome. I am a side sleeper because I cannot lay on my back too long. Part way through, she could tell I was uncomfortable and stopped to ask me if I needed to move positions. I had to do this a few times and she was so patient and kind. Her location is easy to find with lots of parking which is a huge plus because it is convenient. Long overdue!! I came to Jennifer back in November. I rarely/ never got lashes done before except for special occasions. I wanted to get them done for the holidays -- I told Jennifer I didn't want something super dramatic so she recommended classics. The day of the appointment she was super clear with directions and parking so finding her place was easy! It was warm and welcoming. She was asking me about length and honestly I didn't know so I just said do what you feel looks good, and more on the natural side. The process was about an hour, and since it was my first time there were parts of it that weren't comfortable (taping my bottom lashes) but she made it as comfortable as could be and kept asking if I was ok/ made adjustments if needed. She was quick, but meticulous. The end product was gorgeous and what was supposed to be "for the holidays" ended up being a new routine in my self care rotation. I switched to hybrid for a few months for trips/ events and went back to classic. Love both!!! Her pricing is based on weeks between fills. Which is great. So whether I have 1 lash or 10 lashes left it's the same. Jennifer has also become like a therapist too she's just so easy to chat with and she is funny. With a lot of people being vaccinated, I know folks are out and about. I've been sans makeup for the past year and a half since I work with kids and COVID restrictions got me and everyone else in a "sweatpants, hair tied chilling with no makeup" on kinda mood. Now things are opening up and ya girl is ready to be out there and travel. With a few trips coming up I wanted the effortless "I woke up like this" kinda vibe so I don't have to worry about spending forever doing makeup and actually enjoy and relax on my trip and eyelash extensions are the perfect way to save time yet still look glam. These days it seems like lash techs are popping up left and right. With so many options it can be an excruciating process trying to find the right lash tech for you. Sure there are some home based lash techs that may seem like they have affordable options but anything involving your eyes isn't something you should be bargin hunting for! I booked with Thoi because she is located in a salon(not home based like so many lash techs) and she is an experienced and licensed cosmetologist. I'll come back because of the following: Location There is a small parking lot, I did not have a problem with parking but if you're unable to park in the lot there is plenty of street parking. She has a room in a salon and its so spacious, peaceful and clean. I loved the whole set up, I was able to relax and get really comfortable. Thoi is so thoughtful, she even asks you what type of music you want to listen to during your session. Also bonus, there is a bathroom you can use! Most home based techs do not allow you to use their bathroom so this is already a huge plus in my book! Vibe Let's be honest, whether you're getting your hair done, your nails done or in this case your lashes done its so important that you vibe with your cosmetologist. Especially with you'll be them for a few hours and if you come back regularly for fills. Thoi has this amazing ability to make people feel so comfortable. Once I walked in I honestly felt like I was seeing an old friend from high school just because she is so warm and welcoming. I appreciate how she is versatile for example, we really chatted it up and Thoi is so relatable and such a great conversationalist. Towards the end I was in and out of a lash nap and she was okay with that as well. So whether you love chatting it up or taking a lash nap the whole time, Thoi is your girl! Service Thoi is very light handed and I could barely tell she was working on my lashes. I have received lash services prior and service her was quickly as you can tell she is experienced and really knows what she's doing. I'm also such a curious person and had so many questions about the type of lashes and curl types and she helped to educate me about them! Also if you're new to lashes and not sure what to get you can ask her or show her a picture of something you like and she'll help you out! I got a light hybrid done and I'm absolutely obsessed with them! Pricing Considering that Thoi is located in a salon in the Bay Area, a licensed cosmetologist and does incredible work, her prices are definitely competitive! It will be difficult to find a lash tech with all these qualifications at this price. Honestly, look no further than Lashed in Style! Also she accepts cash and Venmo. Back again with my lash babe! Thoi is soo light-handed when she does my lashes. I can barely feel her placing the extensions on my real lashes! That's a great thing! Some lash techs are rough and you can feel them tugging your lashes. Not Thoi! She's so gentle and careful. I also love that she checks on me frequently to make sure I'm comfortable and doing okay. Aside from her work, her station is still very clean and neat. And her lash bed? Omg so comfortable! When Thoi was done with my recent session I could not believe all the fluff I got! I didn't even feel her place that many lashes on because she was so gentle but by the time I saw my lashes, I could not believe how full and fluffy they were. Got my lashes here a few months back and forgot to review. She gets the lashes in quick and efficiently, my eyes weren't all pink and irritated and they looked great. The power went out at the last minute but we had just finished in time! Her instructions were easy to follow to get closest to her suite. The care package was nice. I went to Concord to hopefully get my lashes done by the same person last time but she was fully booked that day. So I had to look everywhere and called and texted everyone nearby looking for any availability for the day. I'm going out of town for the next month and I had a test the next day. I am OBSESSED WITH MY LASHES!!!! Thank you so much Jennifer. She is one of the sweetest and attentive lash artists I've tried in the Bay, and I am so glad I found her before my trip to Miami. She even sent video as to find her studio in case it was difficult, so considerate! Jennifer listened to what I had wanted, and was super kinda and gentle even though I had sensitive and watery eyes (not from the lashes/lash glue, probably the lash pad bc my eye weren't hurting/sensitive after). She truly went above and beyond, there was a small issue with my inner corner left eye that I wanted fix and she fit me into her schedule before my flight out. I truly cannot recommend her more, I love the style of the lashes, not too heavy/fake looking, and kinda j accentuates my natural eye shape to looked cuter and more open eyed (I got hybrid set). I used to have my lash extensions done regularly pre COVID but I realized over time it really damaged my lashes with some people using too much glue and others not using enough causing the lashes to fall off pre-emptively. I waited two weeks to write this review to see how these lashes would last and I'm pleasantly surprised- still have almost all of them on and still getting compliments daily. This is my first time ever getting lash extensions. I have thin lashes and they're not very full but they are naturally curled. I never have to use a lash curler but it's a pain to put on false lashes because of it. I also wasn't sure if the curled lashes would be an issue for lash extensions. Thoi expertly work with my curled lashes to give it the fluff and volume I wanted without weighing my lids down. She made sure I was comfortable during the whole appointment by periodically checking in if I'm ok. She so light handed that I could barely tell my lashes were being worked on.
