My order

Horrible service I ordered 4 sandwiches de bistec with everything and jalapeños. They charged me full price. Only to find out they dont have jalapeños. They are always charging and not giving what was ordered.

Nice little place to stop in for a snack and to keep warm. I was working in the area and decided to come in for hot chocolate and a toasted roll. The hot chocolate is made with skim milk. They do not carry any nut milks The staff is very attentive. Cakes, pastries and cookies are on display . There is a lunch counter for seating and everything else is cooked on a flat grill. Although this placed is titled a bakery it sales Mexican food especially tacos I came back for lunch and ordered two When she asked if I wanted everything on them I did not expect what I got. Next time I will ask for no onion. Their tacos are a meal instead of a snack

When you step into here you're transported someplace else entirely. The smell of baked goods, flans, steak and chicken on the grill, spanish news. It is, as a whole, the usual coffee spot, but now in far away in a latin land. Now I have eaten here many times, this was my first having breakfast here and is now also my 1st time reviewing. The immediate response to entering is we are not well recognized, you can tell the same people come here at the same times everyday while we only show up once in a blue when we visit our own grandma not far away. It may be something that can put you off at first, as customer service here is something that is much to be desired, but I promise you to sit down, because the food is great. Viewing the options for breakfast for the 1st time, everything I ever had has been good, but there wasn't too much of a choice or rather no frills in the menu this time a day. We went with a steak torta and a steak egg and cheese sandwich. My wifes torta was more of our usual, and even in the morning, served fresh as always, but ON POINT. Super fresh ingredients, and well prepared steak make something that could be simple into a sensation. My sandwich was good also, my only issue was I didnt have a choice of egg and I wouldve preferred over easy versus the hard fried egg I received. Other than that, everything was absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in this area at any time, pick up a sandwich, a dessert or even something as small as a taco and you will NOT be dissapointed! Thank you!

My favorite breakfast spot! Since first coming in here I seem to find myself being drawn back on a regular basis. Sometimes even going on a mission to get there. The food is excellent and the prices can not be beat. Do not expect a fancy establishment nor a seat and bring cash. However, do expect to fall in love with this gem. The kind that seem to be disappearing from the city

Honestly one of the best hidden gem taco spots in Brooklyn! Cheap, affordable and tucked to one side of a bakery - you should definitely come here if you want some amazing authentic tacos. This is more of an eat and go place so it's best to come with just yourself or one or two friends as it can fill up quickly. Beef tongue taco is my favorite. Their tortas and Cuban sandwiches are also phenomenal.

I was passing Las Rosas for the umpteenth time! I used to work at the hospital a few blocks away and would pass and never had the chance to stop in. Today's the day and happy I did find a parking spot. Everything is in Spanish which I don't understand..unless of course you're saying you're in pain or I can ask what's your d.o.b., . The young lady behind the counter was very helpful. So I ordered a pernil sandwich, a couple slices of flan, a slice of chocolate and a slice of strawberry cake...I'm going back to eating plant based so I'm eating whatever I want till Sunday. The flan is so good, creamy and smooth but not too heavy, and not overly sweet. The pernil sandwich was ok, but I prefer when the meat is pulled from the roast itself. This was most likely in the fridge and chopped up on the grill. It was not fatty at all and did have a good taste. The bread was light and didn't make me feel like I just ate a ton of bread, that was good. For me half was enough. I just took a small taste of the cake and it is good. Cake is airy, icing not overly sweet, a good piece of strawberry cake. Sorry I only have a photo of a half eaten flan.

They say God works in mysterious ways. I feel the same way about tacos. Let me explain. Sometimes, you're in Sunset Park and want tacos. But where to go? There are so many options. Then you spot a bakery that also happens to sell tacos. Sure, they have wedding cakes in the windows, and they have cupcakes that infringe on Sesame Street characters. But they also sell tacos. And the tacos are good. Probably some of the best I've had in Brooklyn. Then again, I was drunk. All tacos are probably good when you're drunk. It's not a fancy place, but you'll see some people at all hours, probably getting off a late shift. Bring cash. But not pennies. They don't accept pennies. I didn't ask.

Chicken tostada with everything

One of the best Mexican bakery I have been to this place is always packed! Especially in the morning there good for a coffee on the go or a simple bacon egg n cheese...but I always order the chicken tostada with everything! It's soooooo good! Always the chicken tacos as well but I prefer the tostadas. The bakery also has pastries and cookies and cakes ,the 3 leches is great as well! Not dry at all.

I like this place for their tortas but it was recently closed by Health Department, not a good sign.

Nenes Taqueria - Birria pizza

Found myself craving Mexican (specifically, Birria) one Friday evening after a long work week…read more Nenes Taqueria hit the spot in every way I wanted. I went on a Friday evening around 9:30pm. It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.
