(Sorry no photos- toddler was watching videos haha)…read more A fusion menu that's definitely welcome when you've eaten straight Spanish food for two weeks and still love it, but could use a twist Located in the heart of the Begur center, a bit pricier than most joints here but it was love at first taste of the home made olive bread. Check out their bathroom haha, you can see inside their kitchen! Choose from a set menu or a la carte. Reservations recommended (I think mandatory?) Food highlights: - house bread: ALL SO GOOD - octopus with kimchi: SO GOOD, I thought I've always hated octopus but this was cooked so well I loved it. Kimchi was kind of off to the side - shrimp croquettes; yum - cochinillo pig: I don't eat pork but my family loved it - zucchini pesto noodles: pass Would definitely come back for a fancy-ish dinner, great service and wonderful food.

Pro tip: If you arrive before 9pm in any restaurant in this area, do not be surprised if you are the only diners and do not take it as a sign that the place isn't good or popular. The dinner service just gets rolling around 9pm here. This is my new favorite place in Begur. The service is top notch, the food divine. These are small plates that focus on flavor, detail, and presentation. The dishes we had were elegant and straightforward, complex but not overdone, completely delightful and delicious. The kind of food that you savor, that makes your senses come alive. The ambiance is chic and charming. Intimate lighting but not too dark, music but not loud, very cozy and relaxed. The handcrafted, unique ceramic plates and bowls add to the artistry of every dish. The bread service is a must! House made, served freshly baked and delicious. The olive bread was my favorite. We opted for the house red by the glass and were very pleased, even more so by the 4€ price! We were asked if we had any dietary restrictions - my husband is vegan. We were brought a tray of olives and a cod-filled wonton for me that was delicious. Next, a small flute of a fresh, simple squash soup was served. We each ordered two plates - I had the pumpkin gnocchi with lobster - to die for! My husband had the vegetable raviolis which were pasta-less and wrapped in thin slices of zucchini. Absolutely delicious! We each had the vegetable rice risotto which featured smoked eggplant (I'm guessing by the flavor) and delicious tender carrots and roasted artichoke hearts. We shared a delicious pear soup for dessert that was followed by some other petit-fours that were part of the service. Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. We were both completely satisfied with the quantity and were glad we hadn't ordered more. The total bill was 72€, tax and tip included. I can't wait to go back!
