Rhythms of the Night review The entire experience was fantastic! Although the boat ride was 1 hour one way, the staff made it well worth it because of the drinks and entertainment on board. From the moment you step onto the island, you get a sense of how special it is. You are greeted by a mermaid waiving at you, and each step you take there is entertainment waiting for you. I highly suggest going earlier so you can have dinner at sunset. (There are 2 shows and seatings: the earlier group gets to eat dinner first, then watch the show. While the second group first watches the show, then goes to dinner after). The food at dinner was okay. They had a small selection of food (chicken, beef and shrimp). The dessert was not the best - a selection of cakes and cookies. The best part about dinner was the ambiance. Even though we were seated at the very end of the island and it was a bit of a walk, the view was incredible. Every single table had a view of the beach! The service was absolutely amazing, with one waiter serving only 3-4 tables. The best part of the night was the show! It was unexpectedly spectacular. We were definitely surprised by the talent. We would have loved it to be more cultural or historical though rather than a circe du soleil type show without a story. The only thing I would complain about is that the seating was uncomfortable, especially given the fact that most of the crowd that night were seniors.

I went to Las Caletas back in January for the "Rhythms of the night" show and it was beautiful! The boat ride to the island was so much fun! It was all inclusive so we had some drinks while enjoying the stunning night view of the ocean and lights from El Malecon. At one point, there was a flock of birds flying along-side the boat and it was awesome! When we arrived, we passed by some tiki torches and the pathways were lit with candles. It was definitely a very romantic setting and perfect place to take your significant other. The food was absolutely amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect as far as food since I didn't check to see if there was a menu online but it was delicious. It was a buffet style dinner with many choices but the highlight of it all for me was the mouthwatering steak that I ate. Yum! We were then led to the area where the show took place and had to walk through areas that had a jungle-like resemblance. The show was incredible! The master of ceremony was pretty hilarious and the music was soul-touching an inspiring. One of my favorite songs played during the show was one where a couple were embracing each other in a very emotional dance. (I'll attach a video) The fire dancers were magnificent and delivered an amazing show despite having to deal with the heat of the fire. These acrobats and musicians are true artistic professionals and I can't thank them and the creator of the show enough, for making something this magical. I am definitely planning on going back to Las caletas. I would like to explore the island a bit more during the day time. The daytime videos I've seen on YouTube show some breathtaking views that I would like to see in person :) Till next time!

We had an amazing time. The boat ride was fun with music, staff taking pictures our family for us, and drinks. The staff was entertaining and attentive. Once we got to the private beach, lunch was served with very authentic and simple tacos. The corn tortillas tasted like they had been freshly made from scratch that morning. A young lady named Monse (might be spelling that wrong) was super-helpful to get my family set up to zip-line into the water, and then another wonderful staff member, Alexa, helped my daughter with a pole-climb experience. The price was great, considering all drinks and food were included, along with water slide, zip line, and other entertainment. I look forward to going again when we make it back to Puerta Vallarta.

Beautiful ambiance, absolutely amazing food and the boat ride back to the ship is pure entertainment!

Our trip to Las Caletas did NOT disappoint! The food, hospitality and entertainment was on point. The boat ride back to the ship was filled with laughter, music and great cocktails! There was adventure for all ages; including zip lining, snorkeling, paddle boarding and khaking! It's definitely a trip worth every penny and likely the best fried chicken I've ever eaten.

Amazing island best part of our trip! Great open bar, zip line, parrots were so cute!! So much to do great for families

Had a great time on the boat over to this Las Caletas

Las Caletas beach was quite disappointing. The ride on the boat was entertaining, but that's another review. When we arrived, took foreverrrrr to get off the boat and our tour person took us to a area where we got a bland bean taco.. whoopeee. From there, we went to look for the short slide that goes into the ocean. They had did away with that. But they don't let the public know that on their site. As for the long green slide it was smelly and nostalgic. And he said it was only for the kids at that time. There was no zip line since it was broken. The beach was crowded and a lot of the free rental stuff was restricted only to half an hour use. The food places that we ate at we're okay but nothing really spectacular. Would I come back here again? Absolutely not

Amazing secret place. 25-30 minutes from the port and you arrive in paradise. The secret spots full of hammocks all over the island! I slept, I played, we ate! The island has so many adventures to experience. Zip lining, marine encounters, massages, spa day and a host of other things to do. Get spoiled in this jungle with all the drinks you want! My favorite part is when we returned at night and this place turned into a romantic secret jungle. The acrobatic show, candle light dinner and ocean sounds were amazing! This place can host weddings, dinner dates, and bride and groom fun. This is a awesome place for bridal shower, bachelor and bachelorette party or simple family fun. Yes it can do it all. There are adult only areas. Hammocks tied down a few yards out in the water and a few other surprises. Do not miss an opportunity to go here!

Amazing!! I was put off for a couple of years by the price tag of $139 USD. We got a sweet deal: a twofer $119 USD The boat ride was relaxing. The dinner was above average for a buffet. The show, however was one of the BEST live performances I've ever seen. I'm sure they have similar shows in the US, but I've not seen them. The cast of Rhythms of the Night -Savia, is remarkable. Dancers, Jugglers, Fire Performers, Contortionists, Trapeze and Arial Artists make this performance one not to miss. My review cannot begin to touch upon the extraordinary array of talent and amusement. Seriously, GO!

BEAUTIFUL! We decided to book an excursion during our stop in Puerto Vallarta on our cruise and we have no regrets. From the ferry ride to the private beach and back to our cruise ship, we were in heaven. Just the entertainment alone on the ferry was fun and entertaining. The gentlemen not only told us a bit of the history of the landmarks we were passing, but also gave us a show. I cant even imagine how hard it is to dance on a moving water shuttle but I can only imagine. One guy even started doing ground work and that was when we were going thru rough waters. What?!? We were definitely impressed on the ride to and from Caletas. Now for the place itself, like I said earlier, the beach is BEAUTIFUL! I could stay there all day! They have a lot of activities included to keep you busy while your stay there. Activities include snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, and ziplining. We didnt kayak or zipline but we did snorkel and paddleboard. I was excited to finally try paddleboarding. The guys were very helpful in giving you instructions on what to do. One even gave me step by step instructions on how to stand up on my board. I did it, but sadly I didn't last long standing LOL It was fun nonetheless and surprisingly tiring. After falling into the water twice I was done. The excursion we booked also included open bar and a lunch buffet. So although I was done being in the water, I was satisfied just hanging out on the beach laying on the hammocks while reading my book. It would have been nice to have some type of cup holder by the hammocks so I can enjoy my drink while lounging out. Trying to get on the hammock with my drink in hand was a bit difficult. So having a place to put your glass would have been helpful. But yes, I would definitely recommend you check this place out. Like I said earlier, we did book this thru our cruise so if you do end up the mexican riviera cruise, definitely book the Caletas hideaway excursion. I'm sure there's a way to book it otherwise, just not sure how.

This place was beautiful. I loved everything about it, the beach, the attention, the staff, the drinks and the rides. Our 1st tour was on Monday, it took about 40 mins to get to the island in ferry number 8, but the ride was relaxing and the staff was really cool. The tour included open bar through the day and in the island. The food was also included in the package, the buffet was average but food was good. They had a variety of rides that included canoes, paddle boarding, snorkeling, a water banana, a water slide, sea lions, zip lines among others. There was a great area for relaxing with hammock and lots resting areas. Then we went again on Wednesday on ferry #4 for the Rhythm of the Night- Savia show and it was amazing. They have remarkable dancers, fire performers, jogglers and arial artists that makes this show one to remember and one not to miss. It was an extraordinary performance. My best advice... GO!!

An altar created in rememberance of our dearly departed.

While soaking in the warm sun (overcast morning til 10a), snoozing, eating, drinking and people watching, I didn't want the day to end. Never got to see our hotel room until later in the evening. Lots of vendors all over the beach, just need to learn to tune them off if not interested and simply say "no thank you." However, good luck, with the persistence ones. We got our foot massage by Alejandro Molina, a couple times one day. He's that guy walking through the Los Muertos beach with all his equipment: black folding seat, large umbrella, yellow towels, massage ball, head and feet cushions, and massage chair if you prefer over hotel lounge chair. We liked our food vendors: you can hear David a mile away selling his oysters, Miguel (clams) wearing "Mexican viagra" t-shirt , Sebastian with his smile and sombrero selling mangos and lastly, Zeke and son "Zeke Ceviche" selling their ceviche tostadas. If you're not staying in a hotel by playas Los Muertos, beach vendors and restaurants on the beach will charge you anywhere from 150 pesos to 450 pesos for their chairs, table and umbrella (depends on your food consumption at their restaurant). The beach can get packed up until sunset with lots of beach goers and passer-bys, locals or non local, the entire beach is lively and busy. Lastly, a must see sunset. I would recommend this beach if you're just looking for somewhere to sunbath or relax by the beach, or if you want to visit the town or waterfall in Yelapa. The sand on the beach itself is very rough, it was so painful to walk on. The water was also super rough, the tides are strong and can pull you out so definitely wouldn't recommend this beach for anyone who can't swim. If you do want to swim here, bring water shoes, the sand and rocks are sharp. A good alternative to a nice swimming spot is to hike up to the Yelapa waterfall, takes about 30 minutes but very worth while. People on the beach will try to sell you tours there but it's very easy to get to, there are signs once you enter the town and you can ask the locals or people you see around for directions, they were really helpful in helping us find the waterfall. Overall I probably wouldn't visit this beach again, the time spent to travel there wasn't really worth it for me since I couldn't swim at the beach at all.

The water temp was just right, the waves and tide were both gentle and the sand bar stretches out pretty far making for a safe beach for kids. The thing we really liked were just how few tourists were around..seems more like a local spot. (Please be sure not be one of the visitors to ruin that!) There ARE a few vendors amongst the handful of beach bars, but they were nothing like the "hawks" we were accosted by in Cabo. The beach bars all provide tables and chairs and an umbrella to their patrons. We quickly checked out all their menus and found the one that looked best to us. Some of the restaurants provided free parking, sand toys for the kids, etc... but again they expect purchases of a "plate" per person. We opted to use the huge parking lot instead just up from the beach (30 pesos/day) so we could scope out and choose our eats instead of being locked in. Overall this is a killer, chill spot. Hopefully by sharing this hidden gem, others will enjoy and be sure NOT to ruin it...
