One of those tasks involved preparing a letter, which was billed at over $1,300 but was never completed or sent. The other item was completed satisfactorily. She then spent the better part of a month preparing for a probate hearing that I never asked her to prepare for and that I knew would never happen -- yet she used a significant portion of my retainer on this without confirming whether I wanted representation. When I raised these concerns, she declined to offer any refund for the funds used toward the incomplete letter or for the hearing where I diid not ask for representation. This was a very disappointing and costly experience, and based on how my matter was handled, I personally would not recommend working with her.
