My wife likes this vet. We purchased a Bull Mastiff and had 2 rounds of shots, they tried to tell us he needed a puppy pack which is just an overpriced set of shots and neuter. They also told us he had to be registered which they charged us this for. I found this place to be blanket in lies, I explained to the secretary that the Vet was deceiving us however, the Vet still pushed on. Now she will never get our business again unless my wife shows her grace. I doubt that however, lies are like lights once you see them you never forget. Shame Shame. read more

Are you kidding me? Per the receptionist, dr Daniels was supposed to call me back the day after I saw new vet. I had not yet removed him from her care. I asked receptionist if they could prescribe this insulin . She had NO CLUE. Now... Months later, not days , you decide to respond to my review????? Ok.. I am waiting. They are located right next to the Acropol Family Restaurant on the west side of Starkey Rd/Keene Rd. in Largo. Being that COVID restrictions are on, only two people can enter for a consultation. Everyone we spoke with from the receptionist to Dr. Daniels were friendly and compassionate. The offices were well kept. I've been using this vet for almost three years. I always felt they were pushing for more tests and exams to drive up the expense. However, I just returned from a summer visit to upstate NY. Upon our return I needed to schedule a rabies vaccine. I was told my dog could not receive the vaccine without an office exam. I stated that she had a complete physical while we were up north, including blood work, etc. The receptionist (who I'm sure is well schooled on Florida law) told me that it was Florida law she could not receive the vaccine without an exam. I'm not an idiot. I could take her to any mobile clinic and get the rabies shot. I'm picking up my dog's paperwork and going to a new vet. read more

AllI came out for was an updated rabies shot but they were so helpful and capable, I got Buddy updated on his bordelo, had a physical exam, and even got that microchip I have needed for so long! The doctor had awesome bedside manners and put Buddy right at ease during his physical. Two shots, and Buddy never complained. This is far better than the experience I was used to. It felt like a regular clinic! My pet had all the care and consideration I would expect for myself :) I didn't know how the microchip program worked, the nurse showed me how to log in and register my dog's chip (and they tested it right there for me too. I liked the parking lot being separated from the main road. You don't have noisy traffic as you take your pet out. I called around quite a bit before I stopped here and I'm glad that I waited! They transferred my dogs file from Broward county before I even checked in (they will ask for your vet's phone number and call them!) that is devotion! Thanks for being great animal lovers read more

We are so thankful for this office, so incredibly thankful. They have taken care of both of our dogs now and made them feel way better. Short story on our goldendoodle... For years previous to this we had been trying to get vets to address our dog licking his bum uncontrollably (vets in NV and WI), then he got a limp and no one could figure out exactly what was going on. They put him on pain meds and called it arthritis or suggested invasive surgeries to try and figure out what the issue was. Fast forward to a few months ago, our dog looks like he has a deep wound on his bum. Dr. Daniel's didn't have an opening but she gave us many close locations to take him too, so we took him to a 24 hour animal ER for surgery of a ruptured anal gland. We had no idea what we were in for and it ended up being way messier than just that issue. Dr. Daniel's was our main vet for post op appointments and for the mess she walked into (Dr. Sutter also helped immensely), she did so amazing at diagnosing our baby after he wasn't healing properly despite doing everything we could. She worked long stressful hours to try and figure out exactly what was going on with our boy and got him on the road to recovery and healed after figuring out he had a chronic anal fissure condition. This whole mess took about 4 months, 4 surgeries/procedures and countless office visits, but I never doubted the care our babe was getting at this office, I knew he was in good hands. They are also doing everything they can to keep us all safe during this pandemic, and as someone who has a compromised immune system, I definitely appreciate these extra measures being taken. Curb side vet appointments can be a stressful thing, but the staff here make me feel reassured our babies are being taken care of and always made our dogs feel like they are just stopping to say hi to their friends. I have never had an issue filling any prescriptions or making appointments, they are always so friendly & accommodating. They always find space to fit us in when we need it, we know this isn't easy as they are a busy location. We travel on the road a lot, but Dr. Daniel's will continue to be our go to vet for our dogs, this has been the first office in years to actually address the issues we needed addressed they don't push dental cleanings and other costly procedures, they actually focus on the issues you are there for and I know this is why they are the first office who actually has cared about our dogs and not the money. After I got the second opinion I called the Vet back. The Vet did not want to talk with me, actually, they just hun6g up on me. Having just recently moving here from another state for my job, I just wanted to let everyone know that Largo Vet & Dr. Daniels are the best. You can tell she truly loves your pets, all of them. My poor dog has an eye issue and we were not sure what caused it. But Dr. Daniels worked and worked with my Gizmo and now his eye is getter better. Which is far better than him losing the eye. 1.0 star rating 10/30/2018 DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! We took our beagle a little over a year ago. She had a growth on her right front leg. We asked the vet about it and she was not concerned just said yep she is an old dog and didn't say more. We thought nothing of it but it turned out it is a classic symptom of blood cancer. If removed early our beagle might live longer. Now the cancer has spread and she will be put to sleep soon. It frustrating when the people you trust to take care of your pet is the one who leads to their death. Besides they quote crazy prices in a range and then charge you at the ver top. Who does that that? Not a good vet. I urge you if you take your dog here they want your money they don't care about you or your pet. read more

Though the staff and vet were very nice, I was NOT pleased with their protocol. Took my 2 Shihtzus in for annual exams and vaccinations, first time at this place. After exam, the vet tech removed the dog from exam room and away from my presence to administer vaccinations and do blood draw. Both dogs yelped loudly, a couple of times, which has never happened at other vet visits. Never experienced this, and neither the dogs or myself wish to again. read more

Not to mention, they're the cheapest vet in the area too. My fiancé and I took our pet to banfield veterinary... Worst mistake we could've made, banfield only wants your money and will squeeze every penny they can from you before they actually address the animal's needs. BE CAREFUL. They gave our 10 yr old Bichon tests that were not necessary and they were expensive. They gave my husband a form to sign and he is not the owner or caretaker, and he told me later he didn't know what he was signing (he has significant hearing loss) We are snowbirds and they did not ask us about her previous treatments in detail. Despite being in Florida, they seem to fail to understand that snowbirds have vets here and up North, and don't want to pay twice for the same services if something, blood work, for example, was performed in the other home location. read more

We really like this place alot. We moved to Dunedin last year and went to the Dunedin Vet on Main Street and after 2 visits decided that the drive down to Largo was well worth it. They always accommodate any immediate needs (cut pad, etc.) and routine visits for checkups are a great experience for our dogs. Also - the front desk people are great and work with us and our dogs (who are not very dog friendly) to make sure everything works out smoothly. The staff couldn't be any more caring and our dogs respond to that. We are thrilled to have them as our vet. read more

Moved to Largo in May, immediately began looking for a new veterinarian for my two small dogs. Met with Dr. Daniels, she was extremely competent and professional. Made an appointment for today - in May mind you - arrived at the appointed time and was told by the receptionist that they did not show an appointment. Proceeded to give me the runaround, even after one of the techs told her the doctor was taking additional appointments today. No one in the waiting room either, so it wasn't like they were busy. I walked out with my two dogs, the receptionist made no attempt to get me to stay. Apparently, they do not need new clients, though whenever I go to the restaurant next door, their parking lot is empty. Most practices like this end up not surviving because of the incompetence and generally unfriendly staff. I would encourage anyone looking for a veterinary clinic to avoid this place. read more
