I arrive promptly at 4 pm, no one was at the reception desk for check-ins. So I'm in the waiting room, and I dont get called back until 4:30 pm. I told the lady (office manager ??) That I had another appointment at 5:15, and would I be out in enough time. Her response we'll do an exam and xrays and reschedule your cleaning. After the exam and xrays, its 5pm. The same lady states she would call me to reschedule my cleaning. Here it is a week later, no phone call, email, nothing. I will not return to this office.

I recently had to undergo a deep cleaning--a procedure I've unfortunately had to endure at least four times before. Let's just say, it's never been something I've looked forward to. Add to that a history of unpleasant dental experiences and the retirement of my long-time dentist, and I had truly grown fearful of even routine cleanings. I stayed with my former dental office out of familiarity, but with a rotating staff of dentists and hygienists, it never quite felt right. After being referred to a periodontist once again and letting another year slip by in fear... I finally took a leap and began searching for new specialists in my area. That's when I found Drs. Nason & Lopez, and I'm so grateful I did. From the very first phone call, I felt seen and heard. The person who answered had the warmest, most comforting voice -- like a sweet grandma -- and she truly listened to my story. She found me an appointment quickly, and just a week later, I was in their office. And WOW... every single person I encountered was incredibly kind, professional, and personable. The energy in the office was warm and reassuring. Even the woman who took my X-rays was amazing -- gentle and patient. The periodontist clearly explained every step of my treatment and the timeline ahead. I didn't have a single question because everything was communicated so well. For the first time in a long time, I felt completely at ease. Now... I must give a special shoutout to my hygienist, KATIE -- an absolute rock star! She made both of my appointments smooth, gentle, and (believe it or not) enjoyable. Her playlist was so good I almost wanted to sing and dance -- while she was scraping! That's how soothing and skilled she was. This was by far the most comfortable deep cleaning I've ever had. I'm beyond thankful I found this office. What were we doing for 2 years? Well, let me preface this by saying that I have a very stressful job/life which manifests itself in me grinding my teeth to nubs. (When my bottom teeth were done and placed in my mouth I complained to Dr. Current saying that I had horse teeth. He then explained that my bottom teeth were the perfect size and I had ground nubs for so long I had no idea what a tooth should look like) Since I was not going to stop grinding, Dr. Current was tasked with putting teeth in my mouth that (1) did not come out of my mouth and put in a glass every night. I am too vain for that. (2) making teeth for the implants Dr. Nasson put in (another review) that would withstand the force of my grind and (3) make sure they didn't fall out. Yes, I cannot tell you how many times I have spit my teeth into my hands. I acknowledge that I was not always the most pleasant human being to work with and I was stubborn about what I wanted. I learned the difference between "want" and "need". Dr. Current did not want me to need him as much as I would have had I not listened to him. He also refused to do that which would not work just because I said so. He won and I have teeth that do not fall out; are the right size and work. I can actually chew. I had just gotten them all in and went on a cruise. First meal I picked up the crustiest bread you ever saw and found that I was afraid to bite into it. I texted Dr. Current and told him about my fear that they would break. He laughed and said "Please take them out for a spin. Chew! I did and have been chewing every since. I could write for days about this journey. I would post a picture so you could see my teeth but the reality is I do not know how to smile with my teeth showing. I was always self conscious about them. When I try to smile to show off my teeth, I look a tad deranged and possibly feral. This office was wonderful and from her initial consultation to her follow up Dr. Jamison's office was wonderful. The staff was all very nice and helped to calm both a nervous 7 year old and an anxious dad and while I don't remember everyone's names I do want to give thanks to Cindy. She was extremely nice and really helped my little one feel comfortable. The day of surgery went well and Dr. Jamsion even called that evening to check on her healing. Very nice and even though they're not currently in my insurance network I would absolutely consider them again.

After 30 months of treatment, being lied to several times by 2 of the doctors, and him now having quite an overbite (b/c his mouth cannot hold all of his teeth without having an overbite, he wore his rubber bands), we told them to just take the braces off. Oh, and now he has a missing tooth on the bottom! And they never mentioned that could be a possibility until after we were too far into the process to return. And no big deal to them that now I will have to pay to get that fixed, they got our $5000 and I got an extra dentist bill! I told them from the beginning we were ok with removing teeth to help his smile, but they said no and to trust them. I did and I regret it every day!! So, if your child has a smaller mouth or has anything but straightening a couple teeth, I would look for someone else to take care of your child's mouth. My next two boys will not be going here!! I wish I had never walked through their doors. And I wish they would have just owned up to their mistake or offered some kind of refund, but that just proved to me they are doing it for the money, not to help with people smiles.

The clinical team was very professional and really put me at ease. Heather the dental hygienist was especially helpful. She seemed very knowledgeable about oral hygiene, gave me some tips on maintaining gum health, and did a great job cleaning my teeth. My sole issue with them arises with their business manager, a woman who goes by the name Cassie. To make a long story short I initially took out a loan to cover the cost of any work that would be done in the future. Naturally this money gets forwarded to them in advance which I suppose is the norm these days. When you take out a loan of this type they tell you up front that you have 5 days from the time you take out the loan to cancel it . I called back within 48 hours and informed this Cassie lady that I would no longer be using their services and requested a refund. I paid my balance for the services rendered in full, at which point she told me the money would be returned within 48 hours. It has been nearly a week now and that has not occurred. I am considering escalating the issue to the North Carolina Department of Justice for further action. Just as an aside I should note that the Better Business Bureau gives this particular office in F rating, with 16 complaints in the last several years.

While on the phone with insurance, the insurance carrier said he would talk to them to verify insurance, but they didn't want to talk to them. They also told my wife that they had already canceled her appointment. We will be looking for new a dentist. I don't know how they came up with the name "Friendly".
