Honest review...They DO NOT tell you they DO NOT guarantee water resistance until AFTER you pay. The staff are very nice. However, I paid $15 for a battery replacement and they left me with a watch that no longer works. This is a $45 timex ironman. Not hard to replace .... However, the people that worked on my watch didn't do a good job. They were also given a chance to fix the problem and they further damaged the watch. The first mistake was when a younger woman replaced my watch battery and didn't close it properly. when I wore it the following day it was not sealed properly and it took on water inside the case. Fast forward when I was able to bring my watch back to have it corrected.... Another very nice woman came to assist me. However ‍ they made a Second mistake........ They vacuumed out the water and put the case back together. However, they must have removed pieces attached to the buttons as now the light buttons don't work and the backlight doesn't work. If I could do things over I would have NOT brought my watch here. I wish I had time to bring my watch back but I will no longer be in Gainesville. So, I am cutting my losses and buying a new watch.

I asked a for simple quote on being able to add 1 or 2 links to a new watch with one store wanting to charge $45 for a 5-10 min job and the other vendor would not even bother to quote. Oaks said cost will be around $20 depending on complexity but it is a new omega speedmaster and we know it is straightforward to solve. "We know he wants to wear for graduation so just come in and we will adjust it while you wait" That is exactly what they delivered and very satisfying to make it easy to do business with people who understand service and sense of urgency. She didn't even bother to recognize my existence even though she wasn't doing anything else. I had made my purchase and needed service. She doesn't do service. The IDC in Gainesville Florida is located in a new shopping center that assesses a 5% special tax on all sales. 5% on several thousand dollars makes their goods overpriced compared with everyone else in town. I will not be returning.
