The questions they asked left me concerned about their experience. The visit then shifted toward looking at other fixtures and recommending equipment replacements. Our kitchen faucet had been replaced several years earlier but kept coming loose. A technician assured us they could provide a high-end faucet that would stay secure and that we would be happy with. My husband discussed it with them and agreed based on those assurances. The next day, they installed a chrome faucet that did not match our kitchen and threw away our existing faucet. We were very unhappy with the appearance. When my husband complained, they offered a different faucet at a reduced price. He agreed, and they swapped it out, but the promised price reduction never appeared on our bill. We had also received cheaper quotes from other companies, and Rare Breed agreed to match the pricing. The bill still does not reflect the agreed amount. We have followed up about the discrepancy and received assurances that someone would contact us, yet we continue receiving bills every day without the promised correction. The technicians did not inspire confidence, the replacement process was frustrating, and the customer service has failed to resolve the billing issue. We expected them to stand behind their recommendations and honor the agreed price. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Rare Breed Plumbing.

We've had issues with our plumbing and our basement flooding, we called fireside in Evanston. They…read moretold us it was because we had roots in our pipes, they dug up our driveway and removed the roots and said we were good to go. A few days later we had ANOTHER flood, the plumber came by, had me flush toilets, run water, ect. And told me we were good to go. The next day we had yes, ANOTHER flood. The plumber came by and said we had build up, why did he not catch that the day before? He told us he removed it and we were good to go. A few days later, you guessed it, ANOTHER flood. We called again and he said he had to barrow a tool. Here we are a week later they won't answer our calls, they won't return our calls. The worst part is we paid five grand for them to tear up the drive way and get the roots out, they already cashed their check and took the money out of our bank account. The companies slogan is "guaranteed 100% right or 100% free", they obviously weren't right the first time. The people in the community count on you to take care of our plumbing. We can't use any water, we can't flush, we can't shower, we can't do laundry, we can't do dishes. Your branch in Evanston has completely let me and my parents down. We are very frustrated with the service, and the fact that it wasn't fixed the first time. We've been very patient, but we need water! Paying five grand for this service? That's my wedding budget!
