I was taken back super fast because Regional First Care saw that I was very sick and they called ahead. I give them 5 stars also. My nurse Thomas was wonderful with big smiles and lots of reassurance.I hate grumpy nurses. He got me 4 warm blankets because I stay cold quite a bit. He got my husband and I anything we needed. Thomas got the IV quickly. Labs were drawn and resulted super fast. Great quality of care. I was impressed the day before with this ER and I was greatly impressed yesterday. The physician was super nice and listened to everything we said. He explained in detail everything they were going to do. He was very easy to understand. This ER has changed greatly for the better. I am glad

Review Piedmont Hospital women's center…read more Had my annual mammogram today at the Piedmont breast center. I've been coming here for several years and found this facility always bright and clean. I did not have to wait for long to be taken back to the changing room. Everyone was friendly and very professional. You know, no one really likes to have a mammogram. Some think it's painful. If you haven't had a mammogram lately please call and make your appointment. If you don't have insurance call your county health department and they probably have resources to help you. It's so very important to have your screening every year. Don't wait do it now!

I told my Piedmont Dr. that I had trouble in the past where staff does not want to lift me onto the bone scan table. She really didn't think I'd have any problems when I mentioned it. I wrote on my e-check in. I wrote it on my original document and in response to an email I received. When I arrived, there was no record of that and the staff said they could not lift me. So I left, crying out of pure frustration. HEALTHCARE IS NOT FOR THE SICK. IT'S FINE IF YOU ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL. GO AWAY IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE. Don't even get me started on the lack of information in the address. 242 King Ave. is a pay lot with buildings A and B. There's no way to tell what is in each building .

When I went to the ultrasound appointment a few hours later I found out it wasn't for my bladder but for my uterus. I got the impression from the technician that this level of bamboozle was common. The radiology group is Radiology of North Georgia (RoNG) and is in the same cluster of buildings. Trinity contacted me through my chart to pay a $230 bill for the service which I did. Then I started receiving bills from RoNG for nearly the same amount. They argued that these were totally separate bills even though the one I paid via the portal clearly was for the ultrasound. However, if you look at Google reviews of RoNG you can see that they give zero f***s and will send you to collections for $50. Avoid St. Mary's and avoid Radiology of North Georgia.

I called my endocrinologist's office to ask. Turns out the office for labs is in the building next door to my doctors office. So quick and easy! I went in to registration and was seen immediately then taken back to the lab where again I was seen immediately. I was in and out of the building in 10 minutes. You just can't beat that for any medical appointment!! So grateful for St Mary's.

I needed to establish care with a new doctor and after being double billed by Northeast Georgia, I…read moredecided to try Piedmont. With my high-deductible insurance plan, preventive care is covered 100% and the ACA defines that as: "Initial comprehensive preventive medicine evaluation and management of an individual, including an age and gender-appropriate history, examination, counseling/anticipatory guidance/risk factor reduction interventions, and the ordering of appropriate immunization and laboratory tests." I spoke with Dr. Madala during my visit and said I would not be comfortable speaking freely about any medical issues if I were going to be billed for anything other than a routine exam and I was assured that that was not a practice that Piedmont engaged in. Before I mentioned shoulder pain, I specifically asked if I was going to be charged additional and the doctor said that I would not be. No exam was done--she just said she could get me a referral for a physical therapy. (And I ended up having to call her office 3 or 4 days later to actually get the referral sent because it wasn't done.) No new diagnoses were applied. I've been on my medication for many years and no discussion was needed because the dosage is fine and I simply needed authorization for a refill. I even provided my own bloodwork from a few months before. No additional tests or exams were done. My appointment was at 2pm and didn't start immediately on time. I was leaving the building at 2:26pm according to my phone data so the actual appointment did not even last 20 minutes. If this was a full evaluative appointment it would have lasted much longer than that. A month later I received a $350 bill (even higher than the double bill at NEG). I submitted an appeal to customer service pointing out that this should be preventive care and was told to talk to my insurance company about my deductible. Completely useless. I reiterated everything stated above and have received no response in eight days. When I sent Dr. Madala a message asking why she told me wrong information, she was very rude and said that she wouldn't be changing anything in the notes so that my appointment could be re-billed as preventive care. In no world should a 20-minute appointment cost $350. You aren't that great Piedmont. Even if your offices look nice and bougie, you're still in semi-rural Georgia. And if you employ rude, lying doctors and useless customer service associates, you should spend more money on training your employees and less on your fancy office decorations.
