This antique shop is in a barn, and the barn is on the National Register of Historic Places. There's multiple rooms to explore, including an attic that has chairs, tables, and other furniture. Some items are labeled with descriptions, which were interesting to read. Their collection featured a lot of furniture, silver, and a lot of items pre-date the 20th century. For collectors, this place is probably really neat. For an average person, the prices seemed steep and I didn't find anything I was interested in. But overall we still enjoyed browsing. Doesn't even earn ONE star. The owner, after I politely declined his price on vase, began berating my husband and I as "Buffalo people", and he didn't even know where we were from! Then he began extolling the virtues of his ancient history as a U.B. professor, blah blah, and all the people he knows on LeBrun, and all the money he has... I felt like cameras were going to come out and I was on a show being "punked"! Needless to say we left and he was yelling at us out the door! My advice: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

So thought I would give this place a try and stop in I was not expecting much but here we go. The place was clean and organized and that's about it. Way way over priced and the owners would not negotiate I'm talking taking 15% less on a 250.00 item.they were very rude and condescending. Save your mo way and time just a bunch of mean people Surrounded by their treasures who have no interest in customer service or selling anything of value. I was passing through Westfield and stopped into Landmark Acres antiques. I walked around this shop, barely getting a hello from the owner Ed, too busy looking at his laptop and enjoying his cocktail with the amber colored liquid and citrus floating at the top {I can probably guess it wasn't apple juice}. I go outside to leave and Ed follows me out. I personally love antiques and have lived with them for many years. I mention that antiques are a hard sell to the younger generation and that my 20 something children tell me that they and their friends don't like "brown furniture"or anything old and pre 1930's. That they like mid century and contemporary things. Well you would have thought I told him his antiques were useless junk. He in a very aggressive, and nasty way told me that I was wrong and didn't know anything about antiques. I have never been talked to in such a condescending, rude, arrogant way. Mind you I have set up at Brimfield and Madison/Bouckville for many years. 90% of the customers at these shows are 50 and above. Ed, young people don't want your 18th & 19th century antiques. Is that so hard for you to accept? You are clueless and in denial. Quit blaming your reviews on people being "hurtful"and being anonymous hiding behind a computer and having hidden agendas. And saying social media has been hurtful to small businesses. Oh boo hoo! Reviewers are calling it like they see it Ed. You are the problem. Open your eyes and take a good look in the mirror! Seriously. This guy has a problem. I guess that in the old days, you could treat people badly without the worry of them telling the world that you are a complete jerk. If you want to continue with your disrespect, you should close your business. For the record, you were the first business I gave a review to on Yelp! The reason... You were a dick. Very disappointed in owner and not keeping his word on a price quoted while in store. Called back to state I was coming back to purchase the item. When I arrived the item had a new price tag on it for $10 more and when I mentioned the original price I was quoted Which was $5 off the original price marked I was told he never said that and that I didn't buy it that day and now the price was $10 more to pay for his cleaning the item. He said he would offer the item to me at the original asking price. If I had not driven 40 minutes to make this purchase for a family member I would have walked out without it. This was probably the most unprofessional display of dishonesty from a shop owner that I have ever experienced. He is definitely not a man of his word. I was very impressed with the store and the merchandise and had considered returning for some other items, but have now decided differently. No longer a fan and will not recommend this business. read more
