I'm pretty fortunate in that over the years I have been able to travel quite a few places doing the work I do.
While this day started in downtown Philadelphia, it ended up with work in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
The work I had to do was close to Quarryville, and the drive to get there from Philadelphia was incredible once I got out of the city of Philadelphia.
I have seen it before, but it is always interesting to pass the Amish driving their horse-drawn carriages down the same road you are driving on. After a while I lost count of how many I passed.
It is a bit hilly through this area and when you combined that with the winding two-lane roads it made for quite a drive. Add to that the fact that you can see for miles and miles down through, and across valleys, it is awesome. I must have caught them at a great time in their growing season because as far as you could see there was nothing but crops growing, mainly corn from what I could see.
The last time I worked in this area it was in the winter time so everything was covered with snow which was great too. Think today was better though.
I have attached a number of photos but, as always, they certainly don't capture what you see with your own eyes. read more
