First off the studio was beautiful, brand new and had many different sets and backdrops. The space is a work/loft area with awesome natural light. I have been a fan of outdoor photo shoots in the past, but with a 2 1/2 year old boy & 7 month baby girl it can be difficult to get them to focus and have fun. The Grimm Photography studio has made me a huge fan of indoor photo shoots, I don't have to worry about the elements (in Vegas the wind has gotten fierce on many days!), outside distractions and random people wandering around in the background. Let me just say it was not just the photographer that was actively involved in our shoot, but the owner and studio manager as well. Getting a 7 month old baby to look at the camera much less smile is a feat in itself, the owner was amazingly good at making her laugh and smile consistently! My son also enjoyed himself and willingly played and laughed at the antics of the owner and studio manager. I enjoyed the entire experience, but most importantly so did my husband! The staff spent about 2 hours on our photo shoot and were very patient, attentive the entire time and extremely polite. I would say they all enjoy their jobs and it is very evident. To say I was excited to receive the pictures is an understatement, and they did NOT disappoint! "Some retouching" was applied but looked natural, I honestly could not tell the difference, just that the colors and photos seemed to pop. I absolutely loved our photos, the kids looked natural and my husband and I looked relaxed. I finally have pictures of our family that I am proud to show my friends and pass out to my family. We were gifted with a 16x20 photo canvas and the quality of the image was spectacular. I have purchased many canvases from online companies and the one I received from Grimm is by far the best in clarity and color. They print and make the photos and frames on site which I believe contributes to better quality control. I will definitely return to Grimm for future photo shoots, the entire family thoroughly enjoyed the experience but most important had fun doing it!

The pros first: Pros: - She has a wardrobe you can select different style of dresses from. You can even go before your maternity session to try them on. - Good selection of dresses - Super friendly - When it comes to booking and locking in your date, she's very prompt at responding. - Priced well for services Cons: In the past I've worked with photographers (maternity and not) and I'm used to organized plans. Such as sending questionnaires ahead of time for looks/style/inspo boards of desired outcome. Annina doesn't offer that which I was a bit surprised about. Only found out about background colors day of shoot. Luckily, I came prepared with reference photos of poses I wanted since she asked during the photoshoot. The system of selecting photos was a bit difficult. It took us severe days to drill down 100 or so photos to 15. She takes about 14-20 business days after you select the photos to send you the edited photos. Ours came at exactly 20 business days after selection. There is an option to add comments on the photos you selected. Looks like these comments were ignored since the change wasn't done on the photo and I wasn't told why it wasn't. I had to text many times about the photo album we purchased. From the day I asked, it took ten days to get a final response on look of album. There was a lot of "I'll send something later today" but that turned into 5 days later, twice. I had to keep asking about it. May have gone longer. Production of album was 3 weeks. It's not sent to your house (other photographers I've bought albums from send it to you) I had my sister pick it up since her place is far from me. Also, by this time, it had been 9 weeks, more than 2 months since day of photoshoot. It was a long wait ... When I texted her I would come to pick up the album, she gave me times but when I told her I would go x day during the times she gave me, she responded later and gave me a new time window for pick up. It could have been that I was on my way with her original time and she wouldn't have been there. All in all, she does have good work and she is super friendly. But due to the long wait time to get photos, slower communication after photoshoot was complete, I'm not sure I was completely content with the work. That said, many people did love the photos. If you like to get your photos in a short amount of time, like organization, upfront communication, love mood board and options to talk about your vision beforehand, this might not be it.
