The pastor hand selects all of the elders, trustees, and deacons, who can remain in position for as long as he wants. These men give the pastor whatever he wants without question. The pastor makes the annual church budget and gives himself a very nice wage increase. It's automatically approved by the men. The congregation has no say in any manner with any decision made by the pastor or the board members. The Bible is not preached. It's all about what the pastor wants to preach and as interpreted by him. The pastor preaches that congregants should pay their bills and give the rest of their money to the church. RUN, don't walk to another church.

durring my girlfriend and my church search we created a list of all the things that we wanted in a…read morechurch. 1. true Bible teaching 2. good worship without performers 3. humble leadership 4. a place where we could go to build solid godly relationships 5. a place where we could get plugged in for service we spent about 6 months searching for a church that would reach all these items, and only FBC has made it. we have attended there for about a year and have made some amazing friends. We have also seen an amazing amount of spiritual growth in our own lives. In 3 months we will be getting married at FBC and I can not imagine a better place to do it. While facility is beautiful and well maintained; the best part of the church is the teaching. Each Sunday Pastor Phil teaches the Bible, and each week my thinking is challenged and my relationship with God is deeper than it was the previous week. The Sunday school prior to the message is run like a college, where spicific classes are offered, and taught by deeply learned staff members of FBC. I would warn that if you have no desire for change, and are simply looking for a "feel good" message, then FBC is not for you. FBC exist to challenge your beliefs and to see people deepen in their relationships with God for the goal of bringing him glory
