Stopped here late morning for a coffee and donut. All Around Disappointment. 1st impression of the place was that its a little dark and uninviting. The selection was terrible with most of the display case empty. Although not my favorite I settled on a plain looking jelly donut. Got a little sticker shock when my lowly donut rang up at close to $3 for one. The cream and sugar counter was disgusting. The little trashcan on top had long over flowed and the previous customers had taken to just piling mounds all over the counter. The coffee tasted good but was full of grounds. The now lofty donut was a big disappointment. It tasted bready and a little stale with the filling being pretty standard. This place makes a convincing argument that I should eat fewer donuts. read more

Good old fashioned donuts just like I like 'em! Excellent place to grab a quick breakfast bite, they offer a wide variety of donuts, some very colorful and attractive but I opt for the chocolate glazed donuts. Yum! Prices I find to very accessible, I definitely recommend this place if you are looking to feed a group at the office of friends and family. Grab a dozen! read more

Love this place! In the mornings they pass out hot fresh donuts (free!) to customers coming in the door to nibble on while you decide what else to buy. I'm not a fan of the flavored cake donuts at all, but the classic glazed and sugared raised donuts are pretty dang good. Even if there's a line they move you through pretty quickly, and are friendly. Can't beat the location either. Dunkin Donuts opened up a few blocks away, but its ok. I'll stick with Lamars. My partner and I are always happy with hot fresh donuts on Saturday mornings. read more

Went and got a dozen yesterday. Can't say how disappointed I am that their quality has dropped as much as it has. I worked at a Lamar's when I was starting out, used to love the softness of the yeast doughnuts! They were so damn good! We yesterdays were all dry and stale and very much so. The flavor was there the texture not so much.... and for 12.55 a dozen... I would rather go to Dunkin and I will say I was never really a fan on their products either. Such a shame such a great place has to cut the costs on quality to increase the bottom line. read more

Super Yummy! I haven't a really good doughnut since Amy's closed down in Pueblo. These were fresh, with a slight crispiness to the outside. The service was good and the store was spotless. I got the chocolate cake and the strawberry Bismark. It was a great experience and I will be going back soon. read more

I drive by this place every day on my way to work and I eat it on a regular basis too, but that doesn't mean that it's good, it just means that I love donuts and there isn't anywhere else to go. With this place it's a hit or miss sometimes because they are experts on making only certain types of donuts. For instance the raised glazed donut is made to perfection, but if you order a buttermilk bar it's always raw in the center. I think that maybe some people like it that way since it sells so well. The chocolate bars are like a foot long no lie, and they rock. The quality of the coffee here really depends on the person that is helping you, I've learned to ask certain people to make my coffee because they know how to make it just right. The funny thing is that I'm not picky about my coffee and they still manage to mess it up. The other day I had a white chocolate mocha and instead they gave me a cup of flavorless frothy milk. Overall I would say that you shouldn't give them your business unless you're like me and this is your only option. read more

The early bird does get the worm...in this case awesome donuts! If you go after 11am, you will not get the sweet, hot delicious donuts this place can do. The service is wonderful, but the parking can be sparce. This beats KrispyKreme, and other competitors hands down. read more

It's a good things Lamar's makes the best donuts in town because there would otherwise be little to recommend this location. This past Sunday morning, the bottom of the donut cases were filthy with crumbs, counters were messy. The person who helped me was wearing a filthy shirt-- I guess he'd been wiping his hands on it -- and he took my order as if he was angry that he had to help me, slammed my box of donuts down, and couldn't be bothered to put the lid on the coffee all the way. Why should I bother coming here when there is a Dunkin Donuts around the corner? Get it together-- Lamar's is a great brand and you are ruining it. read more

I'm so sad to write this complaint about one of my all time favorite donut places :( The worker (on in particular) doesn't charge correctly for their coffee! For a 'large' triple shot caramel macchiato you'll end up paying $5-$8!! The large is like a medium at Starbucks! They say that it's because they have premium coffee however I don't consider Dazbog a premium bean... I won't be returning to LaMars for coffee but instead take the drive up Iliff to The French Press where a large coffee is $5 and indeed is premium (organic and non GMO) Oh and forget the loyalty card... this locations machine is usually down, they don't know how to use it or they'll never ask or offer! This is my go to place when I'm craving donuts! Only issue is you have to get there early if you've got a particular donuts in mind, especially the filled ones. Though sometimes depending on the staff they will fill your choice of donut with whatever filling you want. Just depends on the day. read more

The outside isn't much to look at but inside it looks like your normal coffee/doughnut shop. Very clean inside and the place had more people than I expected at 9am on a Friday morning. The lady behind the counter offered us a free glazed doughnut, which I accepted of course and it was still warm and delicious. She seemed a bit impatient with us as we were looking over the many options they have but we got through checking out quickly. Overall some pretty tasty doughnuts! read more

So, I don't crave donuts much, however today I wanted one. I stopped at LaMar's only to walk up to the door and there was a sign on the front of the door " Back in 5 in the can". Did that mean 5 minutes or 5 hours? I went into the sporting goods store for at least 20 minutes and the sign was still there, so now I'm guessing that 5 meant 5 hours. I guess I will never know if LaMar's can make a good donut, because I went across the street to Dunkin. read more

I wanted to give this place a good review but I can't do it. Lamar's is overpriced and the cake doughnuts are tiny! I paid a $1.30 for a doughnut I ate in 2 bites that's pathetic. This will be my last visit. If you want a good doughnut shop that has good prices and quality go to Yummy's doughnuts. read more

I've came here twice, both times in the morning and have felt like I was getting yesterday's stale doughnuts. I've bought a dozen every time and they've been dry. Also, the people who worked there also seemed irritated to serve me. Was hoping for a better experience the second time and was still feeling rushed out even tho it wasn't busy. read more

Very good doughnuts. No line and great service. I even liked the coffee. Service could have been a bit more personable.

Went there on Sunday almost always out of chocolate on chocolate if not there early. Purchased half dozen along with cinnamon roll and they were tasty. The problem I had and will cause me not to return was there were more employees than customers and there was no urgency to help us. We stood there while employees did other things with no concern to take our order. Stood in the line and I don't mind the wait but when it came to my turn she looked passed me to the family standing directly behind me. The family had to tell her I was there first clearly anyone could see I was since I was after the man she just helped. Not only that I pointed at a donut at the display and then she went behind her to grab some old as heck stale donut. Maybe she didn't want to serve me in the first place.
