Me and my friend accidentally found this restaurant on a late Saturday night. We ordered Shrimp quesadillas, shrimp salad and cheese flautitas. Everything was surprisingly yummy and definitely stand out from the others on Roosevelt. My all time fav is shrimp quesadillas. The food are a lil more pricey they other local restaurants but they make it with a high quality ingredients. Since then, we go there twice a week as it's a nice spot for late night craving (they close at midnight). The waiters are also nice. The only thing that I would like them to improve is a cooking time, we usually have to wait at least 20mins for a food (there was only 2 tables at that time and another table, they already got their food). Happy to have this new restaurant in Jackson Heights NYC. We went for an afternoon brunch and found the decor attractive, the service excellent and -- especially important -- the food diverse and tasty. The menu (for weekend brunch) is more sophisticated than most in the neighborhood, and I had delicious Mexican chilaquiles while my hubby enjoyed tasty eggs Benedict. It seems overall they do a nice job of mixing Mexican and U.S. culinary elements, so you can have something as basic as a burger or sample an authentic Mexican delicacy as well. I've been to Laly's many times now, have tried several menu items which have all been good and have always had friendly and helpful service. I highly recommend the street corn, the cemita burger and their chilaquiles. Their drinks are amazing, too. The frozen margarita with real, homemade chamoy is delicious. I can't believe this place isn't more popular, I consider it one of the best in Jackson Heights and one of the best Mexican places in NYC. read more

So Laly's opened on Roosevelt. Used to be a Mickey Ds. Owner is really passionate about his success. Service is on time and more importantly humble in nature. Came in for breakfast: Mexican omelette was delicious just a smidge over done on outside but still yummy. Home fries were tasty as well. You can't beat a good cup of Colombian coffee! I will be coming back for sure! I do suggest that they ask guests if they prefer tortillas to bread on the Mexican dishes. Just a suggestion. read more

On a whim we decided to drop in and see what this place is like. My son was sad when McDonald's closed, and he wanted to try the place too. We love it! The service is excellent and they are very attentive to your needs while you're eating. It's very clean, and the ambiance is nice. The food is excellent! We got the nachos to start and they are delicious. We ordered the roasted chicken quesadilla and it's the best I've tasted. They were very accommodating with my picky toddler as well, and gave him some nachos with nothing on them. They have some very healthy choices as well, including a kale salad. I'm looking forward to trying more items from the menu. read more

I like this place. It is expensive. It kind of reminds me of the places that would deliver to me when I lived in Bushwick. Is $14 for a burger or a crispy chicken sandwich a lot? Yes. Is $3.50 for a Jarritos obscene? Def. Is a $2 delivery fee sort of excessive given how overpriced everything else is? Also yes. Buuuut the food is good. Just let yourself be bougie for a night. Pretend you live in a Bushwick. The fries are handcut! They have lovely chipotle mayonnaise. The pulled pork is actually quite good. Been here a few times and every time I have to try a new cocktail. The last time I came I had the Mexican burger it's a mix of ground beef and chorizo I recommend this burger. To drink I had 3 of the Laly's Palmers so refreshing. For appetizers I recommend the chorizo Mac and cheese so so good. Service here is friendly and helpful. This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants we ever ate at. The food is super heavy, full of oil and cream till you can't taste the actual food. Extremely salty as well. Good clean Mexican food in Jackson heights. Wen there for lunch, the place was pretty dead. Waitress was really nice and friendly. They have lunch specials for $15 or a la cartel options for about $10-13. Nothing amazing or must visit, but quality food. They also have free refills on drinks. The waitress had some difficulty figuring out how to split the checks at the end, so recommend telling them up front if you're a larger group. read more

The chicken crispy hamburger wasn't that good as before. I wasted my money getting that hamburger. Was sooooo extra crispy I had to remove the fried layer that the chicken had, to be able to eat it, otherwise that was going to lacerate my gums. read more

The food here is delicious and the portions are generous. I had a steak quesadilla and my friend had pancakes and both of us took home more than 1/2 of each dish (we also had nachos for an appetizer and had some of that left over too). Had breakfast here and the waitress was really nice. I got the Vodka sauce pasta with chicken and a drink and it was really good. I was very excited that the McDonalds closed and that there was going to be a Mexican Restaurant. I first thought, "Another Mexican joint in Jackson Heights??!" BUT I went today and it is so different from anything else in this neighborhood. First the decor. It's still not finished as they opened this past Saturday but it looks ranchy but modern. I hope they keep it minimalistic instead of putting a ton of stuff on the walls. They updated the facade so that it's floor to ceiling windows and I think it looks nice. The service was exceptional! I was assisted by Issa, who was very proud and passionate about this new restaurant. She took the time to tell me about the place. The food is all fresh and local. The eggs and beef come from a farm upstate. They get their smoked salmon from Banner in Brooklyn. They are planning to offer a Market Veggie Omelette on Tuesdays made from what the chefs find at the nearby Elmhurst Farmers Market. Back to the service. Issa helped me right away and was very patient & helpful while I was a being indecisive. The food came out in good timing and was very tasty. It's very simply prepared food that lets the quality of the ingredients speak for itself. It's not overly seasoned or greasy. Beef was perfectly marinated and cooked so it was easy to cut with a butter knife. I felt really good after eating. Perfect portion of food for the price. There is no other restaurant like this in the neighborhood and it's nice to have healthy options. They are going to expand their menu to include more taco variations. I could see this as a great brunch place in addition to all other meals. read more
