There isn't much this far off the beaten path. If you forget something, at least we have the General Store. There have been a couple of bad reviews involving the service here. I have found over my many visits here that you get what you bring. If you are super nice, the energy is returned. If you come in with city slicker attitude, that is what you will get too. They have a cute gift shop. They have essentials. More importantly, they have homemade cookies that are to die for!!! I highly recommend the Peanut Butter Cup cookies. If I could give this store a zero I would. The woman/owner working in the store is completely rude. She acts like she's bothered by customers instead of being glad to have business. Items are extremely over-priced. We plan to make the trip to Sevey's down the road where their employees are nice. read more

It's fairly good for the area. There's not a huge selection of anything but after combining with the local gift shop they now have a fairly good collection of Adirondack themed souvenirs. This place is a great stop for souvenirs, fishing supplies and, around the 4th of July sparklers, poppers, and the like. Not a great spot for any food beyond the basics. The location is great for those staying on the lake on either side and is an important place for gas for cars and boats. But if you're looking for a better shopping experience a drive to the wanakena store may be worthwhile. read more

Thought this would be a nice store to stop into while staying at Cranberry Lake State Park, as it's the only one in town and the next is 15 minutes both ways. Absolutely terrible service. The woman working was rude to my entire family and myself on any occasion we went in the store. Acted like she was disgusted we were in her store. If we asked her a question about rentals or places around, she treated us like we should have already known and continuously told us her store was the only place to purchase things like firewood (which it was not). I would give this place a negative rating if I could. Spend your money in the many other Adirondack towns with people who are friendly, pleasant, and help make your trip enjoyable. read more

"One stop shopping", for sure! Gasoline, groceries, liquor, ice cream, a deli counter, souvenirs too. This is the only place to buy stuff between Sevey's Corners and Star Lake. Easy to find - right on the state highway - and convenient for anyone using the Cranberry Lake Campground. read more

Poor customer service. The deli representative was rude. Will make fun of you and laugh at your simple questions. Especially if you are not from the area. Will not be stopping in again and will not recommend. read more
