Extremely dissappointing. I got excited about all the hype…read moreand positive reviews. Decided to try them out for some July 4th cookin. Stopped in on the 3rd anticipating getting some fresh chix. First off, you step in the door marked "store" and get smacked in the face with the smell. Its BAD. This room labeled "store" is basically nothing but a dirty room with some tables and a door to a walk-in fridge. I know this is buying direct from the farm so I looked past it in the hopes to get some great fresh meat. I asked for bone-in chix breasts. Guy went into fridge and came out with a pre-portioned bag of boneless/skinless and tells me they are all out of bone-in. I figure it's not as good, but some whole chix breasts can still go on the smoker ok. Today I opened the bag to start prepping and putting on some dry rubs to find it was a bag of chix breast scraps/cutlets. Thin measly pieces you would use in a stew or something. Not a whole in-tact breast in the entire bag. The pieces were all horribly butchered, too. So I got ripped off of $20 for a bag of chix meat that should have been chopped smaller or ground up. I will not be going back, even for a Thanksgiving turkey like I was considering prior to visiting. I would not recommend it to anyone else, either. If you do, I recommend bringing some wet-naps/ diaper wipes/hand sanitizer. I couldn't wait to get home and wash my hands after being in there. Eww.

I was recommended to this place through ads and word of mouth…read more We ordered a whole cow. At first it was good. But later in the year things turned. . The meats turned bad. All of it. I defrosted three chuck roasts just so I could see what was happening. I didn't allow the time for additional thawing. I had to throw it all out. We will not ever use a butcher like this again...we will get our meat a little at a time. It's too bad. The young man I dealt with was a nice guy, very knowledgeable and treated me with respect as a Black Man... and YES, that means a great deal. Because there are some butchers who DO NOT treat us with respect. Now before you get mad at me....I get it. You have to give it to get it, respect is earned. And R&R has earned my respect. It's just the product went bad. That says a lot. Sometimes a vendor doesn't know he has been shipped a bad carcass. I think that's what happened here. I would shop here again, if allowed.
