Overpriced and Underwhelming Unfortunately, this order was a major letdown. The flowers did not appear fresh, and the arrangement was much smaller than what was advertised. For the $150 price, the quality and presentation were nowhere near acceptable. What arrived looked like something you'd pick up at a grocery store for a fraction of the cost. There was nothing about the arrangement that justified the premium pricing. This was supposed to be a birthday surprise for my wife, and instead I was embarrassed by how unimpressive it looked. When you're paying top-tier prices, you expect craftsmanship and attention to detail neither was delivered here. Really disappointed. I wanted to like this florist and work with them more often. I went in to order flowers for a funeral about a week and a half in advance. They showed me an all white arrangement that was very pretty and I wanted some yellow so they were going to put yellow roses in instead of the white ones. I specifically said no daises or carnations. I was at the funeral and my friend acknowledged me sending the flowers and I told her I didn't see them. She showed me which ones they were and they were absolutely NOTHING like what I had discussed with the shop owner and thought I ordered. It looked like a bunch of left over flowers lumped together in a horrible arrangement. I was embarrassed that my friend and the family thought I would send those flowers. I will not go back to this florist again because they obviously don't keep their word on orders. If they show me an arrangement I expect that is what will be delivered. Obviously some changes can happen due to flowers available but a 90% white arrangement shouldn't be delivered looking like a leftover Easter arrangement WITH daisies which I specifically said no to. I can't say enough about Lake Forest Floral Design. The photos on their website do not do justice to the actual work and the longevity of their arrangements is incredible. My only sadness is that their service area is limited to the greater South County area (and I can't talk them into going national! :) In having to use other florists out-of-area, I've engaged in disputes with virtually every one; from being overcharged for what was delivered (looking nothing like the picture advertised); to refusing to honor promised discounts; to not being able to find an address easily found on any GPS - to actually being late for a FUNERAL. With Lake Forest Floral, I have NONE of those worries. Their customer service is just amazing and in fact, they even took the time to give me advice on how to deal with those out-of-area florists and find quality florists. Now THAT'S customer service! I needed a bouquet, a boutonniere, a flower crown, and an arch piece and just told the florist we would like white flowers. We ordered FRAGRANT flowers, as she is visually impaired (some sight) and we wanted her to be able to smell the flowers in addition to bright color. Instead, no-scent cheap flowers were substituted, daisies and carnations instead of lilies as roses. Also, the nice yellow ceramic vase on website was substituted with a cheap clear glass vase. This is ORANGE COUNTY where service and products should be excellent quality. We called today to complain and they're closed on Wednesdays. I understand substitutions are sometimes necessary, but usually that means a better flower is used. Yes, the same color flowers were used, but CARNATIONS and DAISIES really?
