I was pulled over by officer Juarez last night after leaving dinner, and received a citation after he blatantly searched for a justification to cite me. When he initially stopped me, he stated that I was driving "eradically", and questioned whether I had alcohol in my system. Once I told him I had just left dinner where I had two glasses of lemonade, he then went on the ask "what the smell was in my car, and did I spray something before he walked up?" He was implying I was smoking drugs in my car, and was attempting to cover an odorous smell up with fragrance. I've never done drugs in my life. I explained to him that what he was smelling was my Dolce & Gabbana perfume, which I had sprayed on earlier in the day before leaving my 8 hour shift of work. He then asks for my license and insurance and walks away to his squad car with my license in tow. He comes back about ten minutes later, and then tells me that my tail lights are out, which I know is a lie. I'm driving a vehicle that is practically brand new, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of my lights on my vehicle. He then hands me a citation and pulls off where he literally pulls over the next car who drives past 5 seconds later. Once I got home, I checked my tail lights and realized they worked just fine, so my suspicions were valid in that he had just lied to my face to justify giving me this ticket. I know there's no use in fighting this fraudulent citation in court because judges always take Police's side no matter how full of it they are, and sadly, this is the kind of behavior that has resulted in so many people distrusting all law enforcement. I live in a community where there's heavy police presence, and I've never experienced anything like this before.

She was stopped by officer Ryan Walsh for no apparent reason and he claimed that she had she had counterfeit vehicle registration and he ordered the car impounded by Samson Towing on 61st Ave in Hobart. The judge ended up tossing the charge later since it was baseless but she still had to deal with the courts and was never refunded the $150 impound charge from Samson. Watch yourself around the Hobart Police they don't protect and serve but they harass and steal from poor people.

Just could not conjure image of me slamming trunk shut . . . So, about 20 minutes into train westbound, I called the MICHIGAN CITY, INDIANA POLICE NON EMERGENCY LINE; they were great. Super professional and did not question my stupid request: to drive by 11th street lot and check to see that car parked did not have trunk open!!!! (potential robbery of not important stuff like old golf clubs); They did this AND called me me back to confirm that the trunk was closed. Just cannot say enough goodness about these fine people. He asked for help in helping other officers treat those they serve better and i am looking forward to this. I met several of their officers after volunteering some services that I can provide to them about servicing animals and mental health. They were all nice and helpful. It was a real pleasure to talk all of them.

A member of my family has a seriously mentally ill person harassing / stalking them. They have…read morecalled the Chicago Police -- from this district -- a few times now. The officers have been restrained and thoughtful dealing with the individual, extremely skilled at de-escalating the situations, and have gotten them once into involuntary psychiatric treatment. They have been extremely prompt and responsive when called. Very, very impressed by all the great work. I realize people have bad experiences with CPD but we also need to acknowledge when they provide outstanding services -- and a very difficult job to do.

There's 1 main cop here who's vocabulary includes fuck, shit, smoke show, and boobie scratcher. Wanna know how I know? The cops are having locker room talk in the front lobby. Talking about scratching their balls. I am dumbfounded. There's only 1 other person waiting to make a report and the cop is more worried about telling the other cops about his nutsack. No wonder people hate CPD. I could find more professionalism from the inmates in the jail.
