Brandon took our two quarantined together families out yesterday for a Mother's Day cruise on the Sweetwater pontoon and it was a perfect 10. We departed from Hula Hut. The boat was lovely. The stops and path Brandon chose for us were perfect. The experience could not have been better. My husband asked why we waited for a pandemic to book a cruise leaving from our backyard. Our experience overall was okay: I got a text from our captain, Logan, ahead of time to explain where he'd be picking us up, the ride was smooth and he took us where we wanted to go, and he handled a mishap with losing our lily pad. However two important things were not great. 1) we were supposed to have two ice chests, one full of ice for our supplies and one full of ice and water, but we did not get either of these. All the water on the boat was in storage (not in ice chest) and hot. And there was no ice! Our captain said the group before us had used it and that we could go to the store, but as expected on a Saturday afternoon, the store was sold out and there were no other options. We'd brought a lot of food and drinks that needed to be kept cool so that was a huge disappointment. Four hour trip in the sun with only half a bag of melting ice and no cold water. 2) the boat was not cleaned from the group prior. The seats were dirty, the trash wasn't thrown out, and it just made for an unwelcoming start to our trip. We were really looking forward to this trip given the high ratings provided by other reviewers but I don't know that we'd return. read more

The guy has a great personality and a great sense of humor quintessential austinite with the long hair and beard. My family got to see lake austin and learned a little bit about our city's history in the process from our driver. Booking online was easy and a few weeks before the event, I asked to change the time of my boat and they quickly/happily changed it and resent confirmation. About 5 days before, there was rain in the forecast, so I emailed Christian (owner) asking how it worked with rain and he was very accommodating and even said we could adjust our time slot if needed to avoid rain. The morning of the event, he emailed me first thing on the morning and said he had checked the radar and recommended a good window of time to go. Then I was assigned a boat captain who texted me a couple hours before which was nice that I had someone to ask last min questions to! When we arrived, Noah, our captain was so friendly and knowledgeable! Even though we had clouds the whole day, we (bachelorette party) had such a fun time and even added on another hour to our reservation (for additional cost). Christian and company were absolutely fantastic. We had a pontoon rented for a Saturday expecting beautiful weather...but a few days out the forecast changed to upper 40s and cloudy. Christian called me and confirmed that we could switch our reservation to Friday with no hassle..we even paid the weekday fee. Christian picked us up at the dock promptly and led us to an area where we were able to meet up with other bachelor and bachelorette parties. He was super accommodating the entire afternoon. We had a group of 7 guys that for a 4 hour boat ride. We chose Lake Austin since it was closer to town and the consistent water level. Captain Logan had the boat ready to go and loaded up with ice. He helped us get everything on the boat and took us directly to the party cove. He got us tied up to another boat and we hung out there the whole day. The boat was the perfect size for our group and still had plenty of room to walk around. The boat had a speaker system that used Bluetooth to play our music. Christian called me multiple times to make sure I knew where to be picked up from and to answer any questions I may have had. The boat (Bentley Encore 240SE) was super clean and roomy and was way more than enough room for a group of 10.
